Piers Morgan!

Like him or loathe him just one of the handful of tv presenters who speak as they find! He talked a lot of sense on all matters and had the guts to stand up to for what he believed was right & wrong. It will be GMTV's loss in which he was brought in save the show from the flagging audience losses!

He was one of a few who I look forward to seeing most days on television, no doubt he will be scooped up by another news channel! Maybe they should think about replacing Susannah Reid instead with her supercilious manner!

One of the most obnoxious people on TV. Good riddance...
This says it all...

Described as Marmite, so there will be opinions at both extremes/
Personally, I watched him as he demolished ineffective ministers who ought not to hold those posts if they can't take the criticism without response.
It has been clear for a long while that he and Susannah Reid can't work together, she continually interrupts and talks over guests simply to air HER views, but that is acceptable apparently while Piers is not..

Looking forward to him hosting his own TV show so we have a choice whether to watch or not.

The relationship between Piers and Trump was entertaining to watch. From sucking up to the president to watching it all go to pieces. As mentioned in another thread: oh dear, how sad, never mind.

Didn't Morgan walk off the show after taking some criticism and not responding? Am I missing something?

What exactly do those photo's say?
All they say is that Piers Morgan spoke to or interviewed the people shown before it was known that they were criminals.
You can easily find similar pictures involving those people and other well known figures:

What about anyone who purchased a Gary Glitter record in the 70's? or people that bought a Stylophone as advertised by Rolf Harris?
Would you hold them in the same contempt that you now hold PM?

My sister was a big Glitter fan in 1972. I was ashamed back then for entirely different reasons...

I think he has yet again shown why he was the answer to the new definition of Countryside. I believe it was Stephen Fry on ISIHAC.

Brilliant.

Would someone please be kind enough to explain to a long-time ex-pat what the last three posts refer to? I know who Stephen Fry is as well as Clarkson (unless it's another Clarkson I'm unaware of). I'm guessing Countryside is a TV show but what do I know.

Sorry for being so ignorant! At least I understood treadigraph's Glitter post!

How about the bit that precedes ......side. It's also well documented that he and Clarkson, who as we know, had a reprise with a waiter, exchanged blows with each other one less than harmonious night.

I believe Clarkson once decked Morgan...

Uxbridge English Dictionary: my favourite part of 'I'm Sorry I Haven't A Clue' which is my favourite Radio comedy show. I will never forget Stephen Fry's definition of Countryside - The act of killing Piers Morgan.

I do not like him, but it is true that he spoke his "mind".

However, to deny that a "lady" with a bun in the oven might have had mental problems is rather insensitive.

If he said that Harry should have referred her to his own shrink, rather than HR, that might have made more sense.

Thanks, treadigraph!

Thanks, also, Krystal, but when I see a post start with "How about the bit that precedes ......side." I tend not to read the rest because it looks as though I'm reading a post from a blind squirrel who's trying to learn Latin. However, I did in this case, and no, "we" didn't know anything you went on to post.

Do you sell spoons by any chance?

This is the same Piers Morgan who was sacked as editor by the Daily Mirror for publishing hoax photographs of British soldiers committing atrocities in Iraq. I have despised him ever since.

Looks like Piers once had a sort of “date” with Meghan. Despite thinking that he, a not so attractive guy in his 50s, had a shot with a good looking woman about 20 years younger than him he was shocked when she rejected him, and that seems to have spurred his psychotic negative obsession with her for years.....

Oh dear, you do get a shade emotional at times.........( < blind squirrel impression here ) but surely you are aware Clarkson had a fit of outrage one evening and assaulted a waiter leading to the end of "Top Gear ".... this event was rather prominent in the media, and on here, hence my collective "we ".

Best to get on facts right. I don't think Clarkson has ever been reported for assaulting a waiter.

He did however have a confrontation with Oisin Tymer, his producer and that led to Clarkson's sacking and reportedly, payment of financial compensation.
