Up early listening to the radio and (sadly) it's wall to wall breathless revelations from the USA. I won't be watching the televised 'interview' later today, who needs to sit through 2hrs of stage-managed puffery ?A lot of buttons will be pushed by the publicity averse couple, it looks like polarising opinion as did the OJ Simpson case some decades ago, becoming less about the facts and more about other underlying societal tensions.
Markle is a master manipulator and is revelling in being the centre of attention. If I were the Queen I'd wish them well and cut them off from all official titles and benefits and be done with things.

If all what she said was true why the hell did she marry into the family. My guess is she wanted the fame and title to go with her profile. She got both but not the way she wanted.
Didn't anyone including Harry go through the positives and negatives of being a Royal? It seems not.

Archie not given a royal title and protection...... ohhh dear how sad, neither was Zara Philips, and Prince Andrews children had Royal protection withdrawn way back in 2011 in the cutbacks, so why should he.
I notice she seems good at putting over accusations but declines to say by who, meaning there is no redress and she cannot be sued.
She comes across in my eyes as a good actress, I was also notable that Harry wasn’t present for the first half of the show, it made it clear who was running it. And as for the family cutting him off financially, well as he no longer is carrying out Royal duties, does he still expect a living from the family or the Country, after all he said he was going
to fund his own lifestyle.

IMHO, this girl is was focused on getting as much as possible benefits from being part of the royal family. This is pity, but, to a certain extent, understandable. But playing a "race card" seems to be a dirty game....

So someone in the RF questioned the colour the kid was going to be to Hazza, but he wont talk it ever. Yeah right, but I'll mention enough to create a racism issue.
Kate, upset Mezza and she cried, but wrote a sorry note and sent flowers, but she wont talk about, ditto, but I'm the victim and you have to feel sorry for me.
Only one side is being told, the other has not, and said they wont comment, dignity, something one of the couple doesn't have and the other seems to have forgotten that one time he had it.
In few years time, she will be on the US strictly and he will trying for the overseas spot on I'm a celeb.

I wonder if any of the bookies are opened up odd on which member of the Royal Family questioned "how black" Archie was going to be. I rather suspect the odds on that person being a rather senior, male member of "The Firm are pretty short. Perhaps just as well Harry didn't marry a Chinese or Japanese woman, otherwise the question could have been slightly different.
I avoided the 17 minutes saturation coverage of this circus on BBC Breakfast this morning, and saw the 4 minute version on France 24, and frankly that was too much. Rather disappointingly I suspect millions, perhaps more than 10 million may tune in to watch the Winfrey pantomime on ITV this evening.
The very (alleged) fact that members of the Royal Family would even think of asking the question about Archie's possible hue, whether in jest or not, is in the 21st century frankly amazing and just serves to demonstrate just how out of touch certainly the older generation of the family actually is with the realities of modern society, and really if the monarchy is to survive much further into the 21st century it really does need to modernise properly, and when Brenda eventually goes, jump a generation and give the monarchy to The Duke of Cambridge who is at least a little more in tune with modern Britain, and probably a little less with Empire and The Commonwealth.
I thought this piece in The Guardian that I picked up from the France 24 newspaper review the morning was telling and exposes these royal correspondents, including one the the BBC's darlings, Dickie Arbiter for what they are.

Sadly our Royal Family has become a vehicle for selling papers, selling commercial TV advertising and keeping parasites such as they in employment, which is a rather sad reflection of where it is today.

I'm watching the interview........or should I say, the Mrs is watching the interview and I'm keeping her company and I have to say, "I call Bull Sh!t" on her answers, he claimed she didn't know she had to curtsy to the Queen when she first met her as well as she didn't know that Di gave an interview 25 years ago. This manipulating witch has been a Royal fan since the age of 12. She's busy playing the victim and brain washing Harry. Harry looks as miserable as hell, poor fella.

There was just one silver lining in all the royal claptrap on BBC this morning; it demoted constant negative stuff about covid further down the running order!
