Not all lawyers know the rules. Please let us know how you get on. And whether you're allowed back ...

Valencia Region Borders are Closed

I wouldn’t bother trying to head South at the moment.

Do you know: The perimeter of the Valencian Community is closed until February 15th and cities with a population of 50.000 or more inhabitants are closed at their perimeter during weekends and fiesta days. They are Alicante, Valencia, Castellon, ,Elche, Gandia, Torrevieja, Orihuela, Paterna, Sagunt, Alcoy, San Vicente del Raspeig, Elda-Petrer and Villa-real.

Moraira is open but nothing going on there, the shutters are up. It’s obligatory to wear a face mask when outside your property on any public road, either minor or main road and, other than persons living together in the same household, the maximum number of people allowed to be together is two.

I’d stay in Norfolk until Spring/Summer when the situation will be better, hopefully.

I know quoting French rules doesn't help poor Aardvark, but here none of my expat colleagues had residence permits pre-Brexit.
Now we have until end-June to apply, and they become compulsory in October.

That’s classic Expat stuff osborne, I suppose all your cars are on UK plates as well? If so, DVLA documents are not being accepted by the DGT post Brexit for registration transfers either. Lastly, without a SIP card you’re not going to able to get COVID vaccinations when they eventually arrive.

Nightstop.

If we were in the pub I'd ask you to apologise. I've lived in Euroland longer than you have and everything is 100% legal.
The colleagues I refer to came here 40 years ago to help build an unfancied aircraft constructor.
French residence permits were not required as long as the UK was in the EU
I've had a French driving licence since you were a kid.
I don't know what you're talking about.
Maybe just a bad day.

I'm still wondering what became of Aardvark. The Guardia let him in, locked him up, or sent him back?

Hello osborne,
was banned as I had been taught English by an elderly spinster.
Then I took fright. None of my documents impressed the border guard,
so he stamped my passport. According to the authorities my documents
are good. Roads in Spain extremely quiet. Stopped for fuel at a place
which turned out to be a breakfast stop for the police. No one was interested.
Application is accepted, just have to await the card.
