Who, or what is amazing the critical comments? Indeed, how does one amaze any comment?

Wow I didn't mean to syir such a hornets nest but some of you remain clueless regarding American politics and just as well based on the comments. FWIW I do not where a MAGA hat, nor do I have a Trump/Pence sign in my front yard, there however many more of these signs, than the Biden signs. Trump is an antagonizing butthole and a liar to boot, but Biden and Trojan horse partner are criminal incompetent tools of the far left wing of the democratic party. If Biden wins he better have a food taster for every meal he eats.

With Trump screaming "Make America Great Again", does that mean he has been making it worse for the last 4 years? Shouldn't he be saying "KEEP America Great"?

It's just screaming. Content is mostly irrelevant. Some slogan, any slogan, fervent hysteria and noise will suffice.
Same styles as a Hitler rally, Mussolini on a parapet, Stalin on a wall.

Love it ! nowt like a bit of regressive rhetoric really......this on the basis the comment reminds me of Mao's "Imperialist running dogs " offering.

Anyway, about this job as a food taster.....assuming Biden isn't a vegan, nothing against vegans but the diet is a bit limited, and doesn't eat junk, getting paid to be fed sounds the sort of job I could force myself to diligently undertake.......any chance of a job spec please ?

Posting something like that online isn't a good idea these days.

You're welcome to the food taster job. I'll go for the wine testing.

Forget the Novichok; more likely the 25th Amendment.

Picky? No - just keen to fully understand what someone else is trying to say. The internet might not be a composition competition but it does provide a number of tools to help you manage communication better, including help with grammar and spell checking. If you can't be bothered to try and make your meaning clear then you shouldn't be upset if people poke a little gentle fun.

I agree. I feel personally insulted when somebody cannot be bothered to write properly in my native tongue. If one makes a statement about any matter without being able to write in proper English, how can one accept that the writer has even the minimal education with which to understand the concepts about which he is writing?
After all, language is a basis for communication, and if one gets it wrong how can one expect the reader to understand what one is saying? Meanings can be totally changed by simple mistakes, take for example, the case of the million dollar comma:
https://www.nytimes.com/2006/10/25/b...s/25comma.html

If he wins, does the question become "where does he go after his second term?"

Would the answer be different?

It depends. I could see him spending most of his second term declaring amnesties for all the offences that he could conceivably be found guilty of when his term ends.

Well all the current crimes on hold due to presidential convention will be out of time by the end of a second term, so a little less pressure to abscond maybe?

I find the continual derogatory comment about Trump by most broadcasters a little tedious. I find the man semi-literate and lacking in any diplomatic skills but my opinion is irrelevant, America elected him using their system, what right do I have to criticise that choice?

What I find extraordinary is that given the abundance of very clever people in the USA that Biden and Trump are the best people on offer!

I also find the hostility between candidates/parties quite unsettling, something which seems to be happening more and more in this country.

Any worse than the choice between BoJo and Corbyn? Were they the best and "cleverest" the UK had to offer? Is there any country that has the "cleverest person" as its leader - that you'd want to live in?

As F’ed up as things are here, I sense you’re tiring of ignorant foreigners opining on things they don’t have a grasp of.
