Andrew: Settlement money less than future lawyers fees.

Boies: A bird in the hand is worth two in the Bush.

Giuffre: Whatever is left after Boies' cut in the next few weeks rather than a decade or so later.

So she had no interest in justice after all. Why are we not surprised ?

Ultimately a court case of this nature can only be circumstantial & "he said/she said": so there's a risk to both parties on pursuing it all the way, & I doubt she has the almost limitless funds he does. In so much as paying money doesn't prove his guilt, it doesn't disprove her innocence either.

Not to mention the fact that the grisly details will not emerge during the Queen's Jubillee Year, embarassing the already damaged Monarchy even further !

It's a bit like the "not proven" verdict you can get in Scottish Courts.. Various news outlets reporting the secret settlement as 7.5million..probably be 75million by tomorrow...

Fear not that that has gone before, fear that that has been signalled to come.

He has no way back - they do say you can't polish a turd. Hopefully this particular turd will shuffle off into history and never be seen or heard in public again. I can't see the Queen or his brother allowing it out on the balcony any more.

I'd have thought that the payoff demonstrated equally that Andrew had no interest in seeing that justice be done.

Good outcome for the claimant. Proving her case would surely not have been easy.

Andrew: Were there ever any good options? Even had he won the case, her testimony would have almost certainly led to him being the moral loser.

I see him out on the range with OJ.

The question is whether he knew she was only seventeen when they were arm in arm, or whatever more, but if he can’t prove what he did or didn’t know, then the “pay up then shut up” is a pretty common approach to settle lawsuits in the US.

Earlier Guiffre conceded she was unable to locate the photograph that had Andrew standing next to her In Maxwells apartment.
Rather difficult to believe that her main evidence had suddenly gone missing when it’s validity was due to be examined by the defence.

Destined to go down in history as one of the great philanthropists it seems . Such a generous donation to somebody he said he had no recollection of, or had never met, is truly commendable albeit the smirking face of Maxwell on that photograph wasn't what you would call entirely supportive of this claim...strangely.

But as has also been mentioned, it's Jubilee year and nothing, but nothing, was ever going to be allowed to distract from all the pomp and ceremony coming in June.

12m being reported, loose change down the sofa or Bankruptcy?
Remember Royals money is actually our money and any rich person offering to pay, why? Guilty by association...
