Sorry, can't take that seriously the headline may or may not be true, but a Tonne of Landfill cannot produce a Tonne of Methane..bullshit detector went nuts on that one

RTFQ. It says a tonne of landfill produces a tonne of CO2, not methane, but that is equally as bullshitful as the first quote.

At our local tip, it is set up to capture the methane produced, and they sell it somewhere. Maybe for people who can't fart any more.

Work mates set up their own business some four decades ago and became very rich indeed pioneering drilling into old rubbish tips and using the gas to produce electricity, some places use the sewers as a source.
