Although I'm an agnostic (religion-wise) there are plenty of religious pieces in my playlists, including this belter from JSB - appropriate for Easter week.

And here's a cracker from Ludwig - the world's greatest ever tunesmith (IMHO). Turn the vol up . . . get out of your chair . . . grab a pen . . . conduct the orchestra!

Although some might find “Disney music” too cheesy, this version of a song from Dr Jekyll gets to me every time. The vocal talent of these particular singers never fails to amaze me, especially the clear, steady power of the Soprano, Kate Lott. Jody McBrayer knocks this song for six.

Amazing spInY, no way my fingers could ever have done that...

Mind you, disconcertingly (disconcerto-ly?), she does slightly remind me of a young Rick Wakeman in a ballgown...

A wonderful performance by a wonderful group of musicians when they were young (and in one case still alive)

Something slightly different:

A whole load of good music comes out of Daryl's House!

Can't argue with that observation - lol! Also, as someone noted in the comments on YouTube - "I couldn't even hit all the wrong notes that fast!"

One musical performance that won't be happening today is the Royal Choral Society's 144th annual performance of Handel's Messiah. They have sung it every year on Good Friday since 1876, through wars and the 1918 flu epidemic. But Covid19 has prevented it today and the Royal Albert Hall is silent.

Yes, but she was peeking all the time. I wonder if she could do it blindfolded

Good evening! This one is great, too. Filmed for 20 years of F-18 in service.

I am sorry, too, for aviation content :-)

visibility3miles & WB627:

Gentlemen, my two cents about Deep Purple: I recall how delighted I was when heard in good old 1984 that Mark II got together again. Unfortunately, not for too long...

The finest soprano of the 20th century, in my judgement.
The incomparable Kirsten Flagstad.
Enjoy.
