These same accusers have also admitted 'procuring' under age girls for Epstien. Are they credible? Are we likely to see any honest answers from prostitutes and female pimps? None of them are upstanding citizens. HRH The Duke of York may be said to have exhibited shockingly poor judgement but he has not been found guilty of anything that I know of. (You may knowingly shout- 'yet') Is a 17 year old tart (with a passport) likely to tell the whole truth to journos trying to make a name for themselves. Maitlis is not the only one trying to sell a book or story just before Christmas. If Epsteins estate was $2.50 none of this would be of interest to anyone. Not you. Not me. Not the BBC. This whole publicity stunt and claim on the Epstien estate could backfire horribly on these women. Maxwell may well be selling them down the river as I type. A chip of the old block.

Should the world be a better place? Of course it should be.

If Epstein is dead; what are they investigating ? Are the victims hoping Andy'll say something to the FBI that'll put himself in the frame ? is there even an ongoing investigation?

You are referring to a fellow officer who served his country well in 1982. Just what he did in the Falklands was not a life wasted. Men owe their lives to his actions. Time will tell if he has anything to answer for.

Probably for closure and to claim compensation from his estate like they did with Saville.

30+ years later the idea that what he did during one short conflict has any bearing on the current allegations is absurd. I have my own views on the complainants but having served doesn't give him a get out of jail free card. (As if he'll need one.)

The poster whom you quoted didn't say that it had, only that Andrew had at least one accomplishment that he could be proud of.

Islandlad I will admit that his time spent on active service in the Falklands was not wasted, and in fact on another forum I have corrected someone who commented on a picture of him wearing medals and claiming that none of them were actually earned. His South Atlantic Medal was certainly earned. My comments referred to his life since leaving the service which seems to compare badly with other members of the royal family, in particular that of his mother and sister.

Young people generally lack the experience and wisdom to make wise, informed decisions. Hence age of consent laws to protect them from sexual abuse by those who don't have the same excuse.

However age is just a number and for some 18 arrives far too soon.

An interesting video from the BBC:

The surprising psychology behind being rich

I wonder if Andy has watched it. Probably not.

I watched it and found myself disagreeing with almost everything. I have friends at both extremes of the wealth spectrum and they have more in common than those in the middle. Straight off the bat, the comment that if you drive an expensive car then you are less likely to stop for a pedestrian is total hogwash in my experience.

The idiots are the types that pay for speedy boarding on budget airlines. There's nothing to be gained by being first to sit on a hard cramped seat on a plane that doesn't leave anyway until the last passenger boards. The wealthy are those at the oyster bar who time their arrival at the gate just as the last dozen passengers are boarding. Their luggage is already in the hold so there's no scrum for an overhead bin.

The DOY is the exception, rather like clotted cream. Thick and rich.

Reminds me of the old song.
The Grand old Duke of York,
He had ten thousand girls.
His extradition comes next week

Like the old song about the Grand old Duke of York's trousers:
"And when they were up, they were up -
and when they were down they were down -
and when they were only halfway up -
he got arrested.."

Are we likely to see any honest answers from prostitutes and female pimps?
But in your world, those who use them are above reproach?
