Another African despot down, many more to go!

After seeing what he did to Rhodesia when I was last there a year after independance, I hate to think what state the country is now in.

I was never sure whether Jack Straw was being intentionally racist when he said he didn’t see Mugabe, “because it was dark”

I see the the BBC have used a half-page strap to announce the death of the fascist tyrant on their website. Wouldn't have thought such a long-awaited event deserved such coverage.

A world of skills and talent left Rhodesia in fear of their lives and with little more than the clothes on their backs.

Why the BBC would be entertaining the idea that he was any more than scum on the broth of Africa is beyond many who saw the results of his hegonomy.

Usually, when a Head of State ( current or former ) departs this world, those currently in place turn up for a few days junket, stand there looking suitably sombre, say a few words of condolence and then depart.

Be interesting to see who attends in this case....... and how many send one of those "unfortunate prior engagement on the day " replies...if invited that is.

Does anyone know why Bob sought medical treatment in Singapore over the last few years ?

Was it just because he had money, or something else ? Perhaps he wasn't welcome in other places.

As you say will be interesting to see but I bet the Chinese have a presence as they now do all over Africa.

Aged 95. Final proof as if was needed that karma doesn't work.

One can only hope he was in agony before he died. Like so many of his victims.
