Not a big deal, everything has a price. If you don't want money, perhaps we can trade something Like Puerto Rico

We could send all our immigrants there to provide a labour force.

I was working in Denmark many years ago when the Greenlandics wanted independence, the Danes said, "Hell YES, when do you want it?". The Greenlandics said "Why do you say Yes so fast", the Danes said, "It will save us Kr2 Billion a year in supporting the Greenlandic economy". The Greenlandics said "We may have been too hasty, we'll postpone for now". The subject was never raised again.

Nonsense.
Greenland has to be the perfect place for a golf course.
It's GREEN there.Says so right in the name. It's not, like, "ICEland".

Bingo !!

We'll trade Denmark Puerto Rico for Greenland...even steven...no fuss, no muss...all sales are final.

They take PR with its 3.6million people and we'll take Greenland with its ~57,000. What could possibly be a bad deal for Denmark ? Danes will be able to get a vacation spot in a warm tropical locale with no visa issues.

And the Scanditopian welfare state can take up the financial slack. Just not a problem, right ?

"According to the Consolidated Federal Funds Report compiled by the U.S. Census Bureau, Puerto Rico has received more than $85 billion annually in federal aid from the United States.[1] A substantial portion of this amount is earmarked for public welfare, including funding educational programs (such as Head Start), subsidized housing programs (such as (Section 8 and public housing projects), and a food stamp system called the Nutrition Assistance for Puerto Rico program."

During my days as a 748 sales person, we frequently transited Narssasuaq en route to the American continent. I well remember on one particular occasion after the refuelling and other formalities had been completed, that we had not formally completed the departure formalities. I rushed to the customs office with the five passports and offered my profuse apologies, whereupon the gentleman behind the counter, who was busy reading a novel replied, "This is Greenland!" and waved me away.

Probably not happening bafanguy, and not just for the welfare issue you highlighted. The Danes did have their own visa-free sunny islands until 1917 or thereabouts when they decided to sell them. Guess who to?

Group-Buy Greenland, anyone ?

https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/...reenland-video

If only to wind him up.

I think he needs some fatherly advice, that boy.

"Don. You may be able to con the okies and the farmers that these are your own ideas, but the ROW knows it for what it is . . a State Department flyer to get a toll-free back alley to the artic. Everbody and his wife with an Artic coast are preparing like made to do there own "Ice Station Zebra" rescue on Artic resources when the ice melts.
It would be more convincing if you said something along the lines that you were going to take up residence at the magnetic North Pole in order to p*ss on the Auroa Borealis."

Honestly, how dumb has domestic politics got ?

Apparently as the ice melts it will reveal all the gold rubies and other stuff not least the B17s and P38 brothers and sisters of 'Glacier girl' It seems a good investment.
Maybe his next offer could be for Northern Ireland. That's a bottomless pit of British Taxpayers money. Sure to be a popular sale as it solves a lot of problems. He could turn the entire place into a golf course.

Why buy though? Just invade. The Danes are a pushover. Damm the locals just replace them with Americans and claim a democratic mandate. That's how it works in Northern Ireland.

Democracy in action.

Well, that works out to about $23,600/person. Why not just give everyone $20,000/year and save some headaches and money? If we'd tried that approach in Vietnam everyone would have been far happier with the same final result.

Presumably, the great orange leader in future will be appearing at TV close down in silhouette, sitting in a wheelchair with his trusty Alsatian by his side ? :-

At least, if he has Greenland, it may reduce the likelihood of the UK resuming the role of sacrificial nucleur target with a re-activation of Green . . ham.

I do not know the answer to your question, but repeatedly using the word artic when talking about the Arctic looks pretty dumb to me.

Chevron, if you got rid of all the immigrants the US would be empty except for the Native Americans. Anyway, not sure China or Saudi would lend you the $1 Trillion dollars as you already owe them a few Trillion and you are heading toward a default.
