I got a phone call telling me that my PPI claim for a credit card that I used to have has been approved and I can look forward to receiving a cheque for the princely sum of £18.04! Apparently it is such a small sum because I almost always paid my card off in full every month. Who says prudence pays 😒

An update.... I got an email from the Ombudsman asking if I "really" wanted him to intervene? Why would I ask him to intervene if I didn't "really" want him to intervene? So, if I "really" did then I would need to complete the attached form and return. But there was no such attached form!

Ok after getting 8k from doing it myself, I applied online through one of the firms that advertise their services just before the window closed and I have just had an email telling me I am getting another £ 4958 minus their 10% plus vat commission.

Not one institution had any record of me holding a credit card or loan with them EVEN the three I was currently with and had been for over 20 years. F***sits indeed.
