Well Westy I'm sure it won't be long until we are reminded that we are not to think ill of Muslims, just because "some people did some things".
That and glorifying that a golfer wore a hibjab. Because, you know, diversity is good.

The murder of anyone for their religious beliefs is horrible.
10 years ago at a talk for a group who collate attacks on Christians they indicated.

Attack of Jews and Isreal is on media /phone followed by the US, attack of Muslims then Pakistan is on media / phone followed by Saudi's, attack on Christians and there is complete silence from Govt after first platitudes.

right. You'll be a right knut when it comes to Christianity, but you'll be a coward otherwise.
Got it.
Western Civilization was built on a foundation called Christendom. Suggest you go back to school, and this time, listen rather than wanking in the back of the room.
Charlemagne wept. Gregor Mendel was a monk. Without him, Dawkins has nothing to work with.

Typical of the French. They are undoing all the good work of the climate protestors in London by burning down Cathedrals!

The Notre Dame wildfire that can’t be put out

France’s prophets of doom and conspiracy theorists are determined to see something darker in the blaze.

From AFP:-

Workers smoked at Notre-Dame cathedral, admits contractor
Workers renovating Notre-Dame flouted a ban on smoking at the monument, a contractor admitted on Wednesday, while denying any link with last week's devastating blaze that ripped through the cathedral.
But it's hard to smoke enough to compete with an angle grinder, an oxy-acetylene torch or an electric welder, as fire hazards go.

The difference is that all these things might have been done openly under controlled conditions under hot works permits. Smoking is likely to have been done serruptitiously with butts concealed amongst the inevitable site debris, possibly still smouldering...

What, two weeks since and still no official finding published on cause and public attention diverted to re-building. The longer that remains outstanding the greater the danger of the embers igniting a much larger conflagration. Particularly with recent world events as far away as NZ , Sri Lanka and USA. The sort of stuff that really fires up the imagination of conspiracy theorists and their believers. Bit like the MH370 fantasists and their Diego Garcia theories. But a lot more dangerous.

Fire investigators are usually pretty sharp when it comes to finding the primary ignition point(s) of a blaze and then determining how the fire started.
Two weeks is a long time even though it's a complex structure.

Fire investigators are like detectives.
They don't like maybes and loose threads.

The electricity supply to the renovations was isolated off when the workmen left . . . shortly before the fire broke out.

Just saying.

From little i have seen on the popular media the fire appears to have started at roof level That part of the structure is old timber and with an exposed void, no boarded up ceiling. So what kind of source could have been involved for such a rapid and fierce fire to develop and consume the whole of the combustible fabric of the building. Wouldn`t have thought just a single fag dropped from the bottom lip of a dozy scaffold acrobat would have done the job. So far as electricity is concerned, the wiring would have needed to have been installed by Quasimodo himself. Unless of course he was busy in the bell tower doing a fry up and had one of his fits.

Still no definitive conclusions on cause?

A often overlooked film with some stars and aviation content.
