actually you canít just change the law, as in this case it isnít a UK law. Itís an international law that says it is illegal to make a person stateless.

So irregardless of what the UK wants they would HAVE to let her in. Now what they do with her once here is a different story. Remove the child and lock her up would be my choice.

What would be even better would be for someone in the security service to take matters into their own hands and just make this problem go quietly away in the refugee camp.

Bob Viking, I don't think that PDR deserves any kind of apology. Yesterday he replied to my post using a greengrocer's apostrophe. When I picked up on this he claimed "fast typing". I don't buy that. If it was omitting one maybe, but how many barristers have so little command of English? It's easy to be whatever you like on here.

highflyer40,

Unfortunately, however tempting that may be, any member of the security services taking the law into their own hands will only lead to even more severe consequenses.

You mean, like the Russians tried to do in Salisbury?

Sorry but that was exactly what has been happening throughout history. The British imported the civil service system to India and it still thrives. African colonisation saw different countries have retained the linga franca of their original colonial powers. German South West Africa, for instance, continues in all but name.

I think Shamima Begum should be allowed home.

Cardiff City should be tasked with arranging her flight to the UK.
Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh should pick her up from the airport.
Finally, the McCans should be allowed to adopt her child.

One might have asked that continually since 1948. The answer is that they prefer fellow Muslims to rot in refugee camps because they think it makes better headlines.

To be fair I didnít have a problem with what they attempted. Just the manner in which they attempted it!

If you are under the impression that I'm a Barrister then please show me where I ever suggested that. I am (as I have said many times) an Engineer.

I cannot find any post of mine on the 17th, 16th or 15th of Feb which relates to apostrophes or talks about "fast typing". Could you point me to this post please, or is that something you made up?

PDR, I apologise for the heavy banter Iím giving you but, in case you canít tell, I object when people state, as fact, things that they may not be fully qualified to state.
I state things and provide the authoritative sources - the text of the law and a Counsel's blog which explains the legal reasons why what you suggest is not possible. But your switch to playing the man rather than the ball shows that you already knew this.

And my only regrets are they didn't succeed and the collateral damage, all this is allegedly the Russians of course.

I really don't know if there are any Russian ISIS fighters, likely hundreds (Chechnyans) however they certainly do not wish to come "home", Kadyrov would dispatch the same "justice" to them as they gave others, the guy is beyond ruthless.

It is also time the "shocked" family of Shamima Begum are scrutinized a little more closely.

PDR, changing your posts and your profile won't do. I would imagine others on here took a peek yesterday lunch time.

There is the possibility that harsh treatment of the 'bride' might inflame her supporters into acts of terrorism against the UK.

Isn't that the basis of this jihad against the West?

A friend of mine is the grandson of a German soldier and a Norwegian secretary. They met during the occupation/WW2. When the war was over, she went into a detention camp with him where they married (she could have stayed in her city). When he was released, she moved to Germany with him. And never complained. While I wouldn't go so far as to say she chose sides (neither of them where fascists), she chose her man during wartime and accepted the consequences.

I think this young lady here should do the same. Even more so since she actually is a believer in his cause.

By law, you probably cannot prevent her from living in "her" country. Morally, she is now officially part of Scum Of The Earth Society, as is everyone who joined that black flag outfit after the first beheading videos appeared. No reason to mooch off a country whose values you dislike. I think there is a limit to how many U-turns and cherry pickings you can perform without losing all dignity and respect.

I haven't changed any posts, and my profile hasn't changed for years. If I had changed a post it would have an "edited" tag, and if you had responded to any of my posts picking me up on something as you said then your post would still be there - where is it? Or are you suggesting I have somehow edited/deleted your posts as well?

You've made a pretty serious allegation, so I call you out. You may do one of three things:
1. Produce the evidence to support what you say.
2. Admit you made a mistake
3. Do nothing or bluster, allowing the rest of us to form our own opinions on your personal intregrity

The ball is in your court.
