So I did. Proves that the article is read by some people. I got caught up in the aftermath of this one. Air ambulance landed in field next to me. Decided we weren't going to be going anywhere fast do turned round and worked my way around the back roads to get home.

Just heard about an unfortunate chap, one of France's "yellow-vest" protesters... who sadly lost a hand after picking up a smoke grenade... that was smoking... This was the Guardian so no mention as to why he did this (obviously to throw the bounder back), after picking it up, it decided to go off...

What is even more worrying is that many of the protestors have lost their hands this way...

Researching the French police a little I found they are bloody brutal... far worse than the Met... in fact, one argument put forward by some Frenchies was that police brutality in France (esp. the regions) is the only thing holding many French back from civil war!

It's not the air that's unforgiving - it's the ground you hit when you run out of it.

“The zoo said in a tweet that it was sending prayers to the woman's family“

Perhaps they should also be sending a straight jacket and the men in white coats?!

And if you're on a French beach in July or August, you may well find a CRS officer moonlighting as a lifeguard.

"I taut I taw a puddy-tat a creepin up on me ".......now on the ladies soundtrack. There again, I to have been attacked by a Jaguar ( no selfie involved ) as have many others...those tailerons must have caught most engineers, and a few drivers, who worked on the type at some time....

Perhaps zoo's should have men in white coats as permanent employees.

Another in the "Honorable Mention for Advanced Stupidity" category; you've got to hand it to the police who were able to point the finger and nail her...

....Officials say the group left the severed hand behind rather than bring it to hospital, to ensure the disability was permanent. But the authorities recovered it in time to sew it back on.
