Sue, or forgive?

If a drunk passenger urinates on you, how do you react?
https://japantoday.com/category/crim...Japan#comments

TOKYO
A 24-year-old American man has been arrested after he urinated on another passenger during a trans-Pacific flight.

According to police, the incident occurred aboard an All Nippon Airways flight from Chicago to Narita airport on Friday, Fuji TV reported. The suspect urinated on a 50-year-old Japanese man seated two rows behind him. He was restrained by crew and handed over to police after the aircraft arrived in Japan. Police said the suspect had consumed at least five glasses of champagne before the incident and told them he couldnít remember what he did. Police said the two men did not know each other.

Drunk idiot. He probably thought he was in the damned toilet.
Grovelling apology would suffice for me, assuming no malice was involved.

Neither, write a nice letted to the CEO saying you appreciate the airline serves the best champagne but that you would have enjoyed the flight more with a seat in the cabin rather than the toilet. Perhaps there are better facilities in first class . . .

Wait for the offer.

I think the comments go into another direction, that is "what the japanese genteman should do?" Since he did not react immediately in the way to get some reasonable satisfaction on the spot, he would probably be OK with some letter of apologies, maybe financial compensation, etc.

But the initial question was: "If a drunk passenger urinates on you, how do you react?"
So, in my case it would be a very tough "physical" response. Let me not go into details.

In my younger days, I`d have been inclined to put a dog collar round his neck, chain him to a lamp post and tell him he can piss a river right there to his bladder`s delight for the next 24hrs.
Hope that answers the question.

I’m quite impressed that he managed to hit the guy two rows back...

I believe this is the perfect situation for the 'golden rule'. So, I would stand on anything handy, whip it out and give him some nectar of the gods direct from the staff of life.

So to speak.

I am glad I am not the only one with a vision of an arc of pish missing a row out and landing. To be honest I would be impressed it getting the row behind.

5 glasses of champers and he is suddenly deranged enough to stand up - unzip - turn around - maybe climb on his seat cushion - aim and arc a stream two rows back aimed in the general direction of what can only be other people.
Many animals I have known were much smarter.

Champagne?
That's not 28" seat pitch.

I would have retracted his slats, a good kick should have sufficed.

Police said the two men did not know each other.
They do now

Some men would pay good money to have someone do that to them.
Although it would usually be a young lady lady doing it.
That’s what I’ve been told anyway.

Decent range, I'd say. (Mind you he is 24! )
