Not much to see here. Just another nut case. He's not the first to pull a stunt like this nor will he be the last.
Saw a pax who missed his flight exit the jetway, hijack a belt loader and drive out onto the taxiways (apparently looking for his missed flight ?)...passing under the left wing of our airplane...under a couple more and go over an embankment off the end of Rwy 27R in KATL.
Just another day at the World's Busiest.

Oh, so it would have been ok if he was wearing pants?
I can't find this story. Any links? I can't believe it wouldn't be reported anywhere unless it was pre-Internet.

It was in the mid-90s and wouldn't have been enough of a story to gain national attention. Today, every time someone belches at an airport, it makes national news.
You might find something in the AJC (local bird cage liner) archives.
As I recall, the belt loader bandit was stopped by a couple of DL rampers driving some bag carts on a service road off the end of Rwy27R. Never heard what happened to the guy.
Just another nut case. The world is full of 'em and occasionally you get to see one in action. Rather entertaining but not worthy of national attention.
