..what, ABE ? As in Anyone But Espagne? Egypt?....

Anyhow as you’ve already nicked Belgium I’ll put my virtual 10 cents worth on France.

(you are probably right about Germany though).

Not sure where Dingalern is but you often hear their fans' chant . . .

Dingalern . . . Dingalern . . . Dingalern . . .

Some double standards here...

Patriotic postal workers looking to show their support for England will not be allowed to fly flags on their delivery vehicles during the World Cup.
The Royal Mail has banned all flags and stickers from being put on trollies, bikes, vans and lorries.

I'm aware that "Footy" is not a favoured subject within these hallowed walls, but I did used to play, as I did Rugby Union and League (all very poorly, I should say) but I just can't build any genuine enthusiasm for the imminent competition. I like the game, but not particularly the people who play it now. Massive over exposure and the fact that there is a top level game almost every day of the week has diluted the something to look forward to factor for me. Or I'm just getting old(er).

Only in your homophobic dinosaur head. England, both Irelands, Scotland and Wales all compete in the World Cup as individual nations. Royal Mail services the entire UK. It's also a public limited company so it's free to put whatever internationally inclusive rainbow banners on its vehicles that it likes. Maybe you should purchase some stock and raise your archaic agenda at a shareholders meeting, I'm sure it'll be well received.

Homophobia has nothing to do with it. The Royal Mail banned all flags and stickers because: they could distract drivers or "pose a potential hazard to other road users", should they come loose.

Why would an English flag sticker be any more likely than a rainbow sticker to come loose or distract other drivers?

The Royal Mail services the entire spectrum of personal preferences however imagine the outrage if it were to celebrate serving the internationally inclusive straight community. To achieve equality, we have first to treat everyone equally. It seems that when that is achieved, the minority groups feel compelled to keep campaigning.

Anyway, back on topic. I see that suppliers of Tunisian, Belgian and Panamanian flags have had to increase production to keep pace with the demand in Glasgow.

I think the opposition to vehicles flying the England flag(s) of St George is that it isn't usually one but a number of flags at each corner that certainly draws attention to the vehicle.

I am not judging the behaviour, merely expressing the possible reason for the 'ban'.

I couldn't care less.
