I gather the request for a vet to sedate a mad cat that was running rampant inside his car was not easy to explain to the emergency operator.............
Sometimes Google ad choices or whatever PPRuNe uses for the top of page add makes unwarranted assumptions:

Saw an add for "meet a shelter pet" while reading about the cat wreaking havoc in the car.

Another great example was an add for drones while reading the thread on drone/aircraft encounters.

Better not read this thread then, you'll get ads for undertakers and euthanasia clinics.

Proclivity ... an inclination towards a particular thing .. nothing to do with procreation, well spotted ! I doubt that there would be any progeny from the Edinburgh ď Napier ď boys , but thatís only an instinctive opinion, still very sad though. Does this event qualify under the awards rules ?

From the "Tide Pods" article

Detergent pods include various toxic ingredients, including ethanol
Blimey! And I ingest it all the time!

There is absolutely no guarantee that promptly executed first aid (or hospital treatment) is going to save you from a brown snake bite.

True, but it greatly reduces the probability of you dying.
On the other hand, if you do nothing for 40 minutes while you're driven to hospital, you stand a good chance of dying if the snake has envenomated.

I don't understand the idiots taking pics or videos of the the idiot taking the selfie with a train coming. Isn't there a real chance of them getting hit with a loose arm or leg?

I would imagine if they had a loose arm or leg flapping about in front of a train then they would lose said arm or leg.
