Afghan interpreters

I find it difficult to understand the Home Offices's decision to refuse asylum to guys who have given service to the Military and probably saved countless lives over the years. These guys have risked their own lives and probably their families's lives as well doing what they think is right.

Britain 'inhumane and shameful' over asylum for Afghan interpreters

On a different topic we're hearing about English guys going out to Iraq and Syria fighting alongside the Kurds against ISIS. Yet when they arrive back home they're arrested. Why?

On the point about the young men fighting ISIS the issue is 'fairness'. It is stupid but that is the country we live.

Not sure how the US handled it, but Australia, when it pulled out of Vietnam, left the indigenous embassy staff/provided of help/aid to their lot. Wonder how many survivors were left following the executions/re-education camps.

And the thousands of Hmong (spelling?) including children the US (CIA) trained and operated against the NVA/ Vietcong on the Ho Chi Ming trail? Quoting an ex CIA agent, BBC yesterday, "if they were taller than a M1, they were old enough to go in combat"......
