New words in the dictionary:

GenderQueer. (Non-binary). (Mx is used instead of Ms, Mrs, Mr)
Genderfluid. (Fluctuates between male and female).
Genderneutral. (neither male nor female)
Agender. (neutral - no assignation at all)

When I fill forms in on my bank website (HSBC) it now offers me the Mx prefix

Does this mean we are about to see the demise of Father Christmas now, on grounds of sexual AND religious discrimination. Watch this space.......

Search for "protected characteristic"?

Uh, no, that's the whole point. Political Correctness exists to punish those who don't go along with The Great Leader, whoever and whatever that might be today.

The 'rules' are arcane and constantly changing, to ensure everyone is always 'guilty' of something. Read about the history of Communist nations sometime, it's all in there.

The best part is that, as always happens eventually, the left are now using it against each other.

That's unchallenged but when you look beyond that there are several permutations where the external appearance does not match the chromosomes. Apparently this was or is recognized to a greater extent in some cultures than in others.

If you tabulate all the permutations of chromosomes, appearance, self-consciousness of gender and attraction to other gender(s), you pretty soon need lots of space for toilets to suit all of them.

It would probably help to recognize this variety by allowing a neutral choice but it would also help if the lack of such choice or established way of addressing a certain minority would not be construed to be a denial of their existence.

There are languages where proper addressing of multi-gender audiences is much harder than in English. "Friends, Romans, Countrymen" would only need the last word addressed, while poor Germans who have just learned to conted with "Freunde und Freundinnen, Römer/innen, etc." need more adaptation still.....

The Swedish seem to have unisex toilets in smaller restaurants, etc. Ladies don't seem to like them....

It seems that females require an order of magnitude more toilet facilities than males.
Any public event will see long queues for the female toilets whilst the male toilets are usually 'wait free'.

Even when organisers recognise this discrepancy they never seem to provide enough.

There's a website called PPRuNe.....contained therein is a forum called Jet Blast.

All you need to do is post about wonderful the Tory party, or indeed any right wing party is, how every Muslim is, by default, an Islamic terrorist, why anybody who is part of the LBGT community should be shot on sight, why Guardian readers are all ( insert Trot / Marx / Lenin / Commie of choice ) persons born out of wedlock, why the Daily Mail / Express / Sun should be revered for the journalistic standards and why Trade Unions are the scourge of society... to name but a few ( oh, and say nice things about the military ) and your salvation is at hand !

Prophesising the future would also help....

There is always hope for British society when a debate on the subject boils down to toilet facilities.

Let’s say he is born as a boy. Then later in life he struggles with his identity and feels like woman. And he wants to be considered as woman. Now we can tell him per his preference “she”.

So far so good. But I can still imagine if she enters ladies toilet the most of the ladies could object that a person with males genitalia shouldn’t be there at all. And now consider the same situation at a shower room dedicated to ladies. Any woman would strongly object to a person with a dick regardless if he/she entered with a feminine make up and girl’s dress and regardless of perceived identity.

Who is right in this case?

Can't get terribly excited about any of this nonsense other than to observe that the source of most 'noise' would appear to be female. Equal pay, equal opportunity, equal access to the directorships/well-paid jobs, etc., etc.
'Equality', it would appear, only extends to the boundaries set by the 'ladies'. Sort of 'what's yours is mine and what's mine is my own' mentality. MUST have women-only this, that and the other but 'men-only' clubs ??? Of course not. We blokes only have ourselves to blame - once we gave up on the principle of 'keep them barefoot, pregnant and in the kitchen', it all went to Hell in a basket!! ...
and another thing - how come FGM is BAD when circumcision is absolutely fine??
Should there be any smidgen of resentment about the above, I MAY allow my other half to access the computer for educative purposes.

Don't boys/men all feel like a woman from time to time

How do women (in their toilets) know the person next to them is a man in disgusie if they each have their own cubicles? Perhaps there are holes in their walls too

Cornish,

Have you ever met a woman with FGM? Try sexual relations with her?

Of course. No question about that. Surgery of any sort on any child should only be carried out when required for medical reasons.

It's not hard.

If your notional boy feels as he grows up that he would rather be a woman, as an adult he can choose to have his male genitalia removed and have hormone treatment that will assist him to appear with many female characteristics.

This will satisfy both of your situations.
