Qatar Diverts as wife discovers husband is cheating

Iranian lady made Qatar Airways #QR962 to divert after she found out her husband was cheating on her | AIRLIVE.net

Easy one. Ban all couples from flying on the same flight. Simples.

Sunday, Qatar Airways #QR962 from Doha to Bali flight of Sunday diverted to Chennai.

According to sources, the Iranian lady reportedly unlocked her sleeping husband’s mobile phone by putting his finger on its scanner and then she realized that he was allegedly cheating on her.

The woman, who was a few drinks down by then, reportedly got into a fight with her husband and also misbehaved with crew members who tried to pacify her.

With the situation getting out of hand, the pilot decided to divert the Boeing 777-300 (reg. A7-BEC) to Chennai. Once there, the Iranian family — husband, wife and their young child — were offloaded there and the plane resumed its journey to Bali.

He was fingered, and not just by anyone but his own.

One would assume his face recognition unlock will work again once the bruises and scratches heal....

Nah, she reprogrammed his phone so that it will unlock only if his face is bruised and scratched.

I'll continue the thread here as there is an air safety side to this.

Whilst I sympathise with the woman's situation/predicament, it would be true to say that the husband has not broken any law, whereas she has apparently caused the aircraft to divert. Was the 'ruckus' mainly her? maybe I assume too much. Was she arrested on arrival?

that the husband has not broken any law
I'm in the Philippines, married to a Filipina but separated ... If I should have sexual relations with another woman whilst I remain married then I am breaking the law ... Laws vary from country to country.

Fair enough that's true, but still I guess secondary to the disruption of a flight resulting in a huge waste of time for many people and quite a lot of cost to the airline. Better set aside some money from the divorce settlement to pay the fines and liabilities.

If that was followed through, they would have even less space in the prisons.

If you are not a Filipino, I'm sure though it would be acted on.

The Philippine Family Code is excellent though, as is their attitude to marriage and divorce.

As for the woman on the pane, at first one would tend to sympathise, the shock of it could be quite overwhelming. However, it seems she had an idea it was happening already, otherwise why look at his phone in that way.
No excuse for causing that much of a problem though

Pre 9/11.

At my US Legacy, a Captain on his Age 60 retirement trip to Europe has a great dinner on the layover with the other Pilots and the Flight Attendants along with his wife sitting to his right at the big dinner table. Given the number of attendees, it would be not unusual for the wife to not notice the female sitting to the left of the said Captain, said female happened to be the Captain's girlfriend/mistress/squeeze, take your pick.

Any bets as to how long this event would be kept secret amongst a group of 50+ US Legacy FA's?

I would have guessed it never would have gotten passed 20W. But I heard the goods were finally spilled to the Captain's wife at 50W which resulted in an immediate attack upon the cockpit along with the statement, " I"M TAKING HALF OF YOUR CHIT!!!!"
