Oasis reunion

Word on the street in Abu Dhabi is that the government are offering the warring Gallagher brothers obscene amounts of money to get together and play at the Abu Dhabi grand prix on Novermber 26th. The bidding is up to 22 million.
I wonder if there is enough money in the universe to get these two arseholes back together? Mind you I would go!

I sincerely hope there is not enough money on the planet to get those two tossers back together!

Peanuts to the sums mentioned to get ABBA back on the road. Some years ago the sum of one billion dollars was heavily rumoured.

Mind you the brothers are total assholes but do make a good sound maybe 22 million could soothe their obvious hatred.

Shock horror - I always liked ABBA. Mind you I have always had a weakness for performers who actually understand music and can play their instruments. I paid 8/6 to see the Beatles live, and wouldn't pay more than 42 1/2p to see a plastic replica, so I'm not interested if they get together or not.

What, Oasis in a desert ?

I was in a restaurant and ordered the oasis soup. The waiter brought me tomato soup. When I complained, he said "well, you got a roll with it".

It may be worth it to see the punch up on stage.

And there was me thinking it was the 'real' Oasis reunion as they went bust 10 years ago this coming March.

Anyone??

Noel is ok, seems like a pretty down to earth chap if you listen to an interview with him.
His brother Liam however comes across as the biggest knobhead this side of the atlantic

Noel Gallacher described his brother with a phrase of absolute genius....

"He's the angriest man you'll ever meet. He's like a man with a fork in a world of soup".

I once had the pleasure to chat to Liam for a few brief moments. He was wearing one of those all in one khaki jackets that I think you have pull on over your head and has a hood lined on the outer edge with fur of some sort. I think he wore it because it was part of his 'stage look' and somewhat modish - this was in his dressing room. Anyway, he was very pleasant and polite, quite unlike what I had expected.

These thugs terrorised passengers on one of our Hong Kong - Perth flights in the late nineties. If I had been the captain they would have been dropped off to the tender mercies of the Indonesian police. One of them publically threatened to 'glass' the captain after the event. The below article does not represent how bad it actually was.

Oasis go over the top down under | The Independent

And in the end they were not even slapped with a wet lettuce leaf.
