Adonis

There is a Lord Adonis who is very anti university fees and salaries. These fees and salaries are a direct result of recommendations he himself made in the past.
Could this be the same Lord Adonis who recommended the building of HS2?

Anger as ?Baron of Camden? Andrew Adonis takes new role on HS2 board | 51m

Lord Adonis served as transport secretary under the previous Labour government, despite never having won a public election.

On 16 May 2005 he was created a life peer as Baron Adonis, of Camden Town in the London Borough of Camden, elevation to membership of the House of Lords making possible his appointment as a Government Minister without ever having been elected to Parliament.

Last week there were stories that the Palace of Westminster was over-run with vermin.
I'm now beginning to realise what they meant.

It must be that one - rather than the Lord Adonis who was Minister of State for Education in 2006 when the government increased university tuition fees to 3000 per year?

As with all these leeches, they contrive to bury their screw-ups. Who will remember "Mandy's Tent" in 20 more years.

Not the new generation of Luvvies that's for sure.

Andrew Adonis was formerly the Transport Secretary from 2009 to 2010, Minister of State for Transport from 2008 to 2009 and Minister for Schools from 2005 to 2008. He was Head of the No10 Policy Unit from 2001 to 2005.
Andrew Adonis was appointed as chairman of the National Infrastructure Commission on 5 October 2015. He was a member of the independent Armitt Commission, which recommended an independent National Infrastructure Commission in 2013.
