Greatest country on earth?

Is it America ?

Which metric do you use?
Is it normway or Switzerland ?
Maybe even England?
Economy size? Happiness of people ? Military strength ?

For me it is England.
For no other reason than the weather 😄

Well, that's it, isn't it - meaningless question without an agreed metric.

I thought that post-Brexit we'd not be allowed to use metric any more.

Then we can join the US as the only other developed country that doesn't use it

Seriously, the USA must have the potential to be the greatest country on earth in so many different respects.

What a pity the inhabitants insist on screwing it up so badly.

Where the US leads, we generally follow.

Hempy. In all seriousness, having lived in many parts of the world including Australia and New Zealand, it was very pleasant to return to the UK's temperate climate without the extremes that exist elsewhere. Strangely I also found getting older I no longer appreciate the heat like I used to. Give me 22c any day. The idea that it never stops raining is somewhat unfounded too as it can go weeks, even months between showers, at least in the south. But I would concede that is not always the case.
But I left the UK to head north. Far too hot there!

Me too. And it does get that hot a few days each year in the UK (it's rather colder than that now and this is supposed to be August FFS).

TTN, I think in light of recent events, Burma and Liberia (the only other non-metric nations) are looking decidedly more developed than the US these days.

Can we expand 'England' to being the whole of Britain? All together it is a marvellous place.

(Extremely safe too!)

I would agree with the UK if only there were a lot less stupid people here.
My vote for the best place to live would be EUROPE
