UK Pedestrian Deaths

A four by four mowed people down on Westminster Bridge. Upto a dozen injured. Then a few moments later shots were allegedly heard. Prime Minister May was removed to safety. Parliament is sealed off and will be fully searched.

The Met have asked for anyone with footage to send it to them and not post them on social media.

Let's hope that the woman pictured standing over a victim lying on the road on Westminster Bridge, taking video or photos with her phone, follows that advice. I rather suspect that the first thing she will have done is post it on social media, without caring about the impact it might have on the friends and family of the victim.

Tragically people seem more focussed on their own social media 15 seconds of fame. I saw the same after the Shoreham incident. People filming dead and dying people. It's sick. People in the worst seconds and minutes of their lives should not be used as entertainment.

Haven't seen the footage you referred to in "the other thread", but in the video I've seen of that woman, she very quickly holds the phone to her ear after standing over the body.

On the anniversary of the terror attack in Brussels.

Godspeed to all those affected in London, hoping for the best, and we're with you in spirit.

Someone was spotted face down in the water in the Thames & bodies on the bridge. At least one lady died. How very sad.

I hope you're right, and I'm mistaken.

I get the feeling from the news that's coming out now that this may have been a lone attacker, who drove over Westminster Bridge, killing at least one person and seriously injuring several others. He then seems to have crashed into the fence outside Old Palace Yard, ran out of the car towards the MPs entrance, where he attacked at least one police officer before being shot, probably three times, by another officer.

Sky reporting that at least one of the groups struck on the bridge were French students.

Woman reported in the Thames, presumably thrown by the impact, recovered alive but with serious injuries.

Not taking away from the personal tragedies of those hurt or killed in these attacks, but as I saw the news unfolding, I could not help thinking: "Is this the most those ******** can do? 16 years after taking down the World Trade Center, this feeble public unrest in the general vicinity of a governement building is what terrorists can achieve? I'm unimpressed, as I trust the people of London will continue to be."

London justness got up and got on with it after 7/7. Tomorrow will be business and usual, mindful of those who we have lost but stoically getting on with our lives and showing the morons who do this that we won't be scared off.

With due respect, herr doctor I don't know if you understand the concept of 'terrorism'. Using 10 deaths to achieve political change in the desired direction. Paris is putting up a glass wall around le Tour Eiffel. I have to take my shoes off and get groped every time I fly comm. Repression of liberty, and control of the population by a totalitarian method is the goal of this specific campaign. Once that's done, those under control will seek some other method to extricate themselves from the means of said totalitarian control, and for many weak-willed, or slow-witted, a certain all-encompassing religious lifestyle will be the mantra of salvation. We see it happening recently with western kids trying to align themselves with a certain foreign destructive influence which makes headlines everywhere.

Just heard that some French students have been hurt. After all that's happened in France in the last year they must have thought they were away from all that and safe in London. Let's hope the death tally doesn't rise, although "catastrophic injuries" doesn't sound too good!

There must be dozens of CCTV cameras in that area, so the police will not be short of footage. Knowing how London is covered, I imagine they'll be able to trace the vehicle from its source.

Surely with all the CCTV they must already also know whether or not there were two suspects.

Seems weird we'd hear that first from the Beeb and not the rozzas.

Be careful with your words, you never know what's around the corner.

The police are trying to give facts.

The BBC are giving rumours.
