I don't know about fifty per cent chicken. Stopped at an M6 service area and had a bacon roll. About three quid and barely worth 30p. Will never patronise them again.

We live in a crazy world. Many decades ago the local butcher was fined for having too much meat and not enough fat in his sausages. The law in those days proscribed the percentage of contents.

I wouldn't go as far to call glued together sawdust wood.

I believe the person who upped the chicken % to 50% in Subway sandwiches, has now been identified, and punished with a job position downgrade.
He's now sorting the floor sweepings for pieces of chicken to be used in the price-sensitive "meal deals".

There are dowels that appear to be solid wood.

Heinz so-called "Cream of Chicken" soup actually contains 3% chicken.

Why are they allowed to use the word "chicken" at all?

Haven't read the article, but lots of other things in the animal kingdom taste like chicken - crocodiles, snakes, humans. So what's the other 50% made of?

subways slogan - "eat fresh" leads one to believe the ingredients are fresh . they are not - all shops freeze ingredients for the week . i understand they do not say our food is fresh - they just say eat fresh so presumably they mean eat somewhere else .

I was in a Subway when they were making "eggs" for their egg sandwiches. They didn't use fresh eggs but liquid eggs that looked disgusting

I think there is something of that matter in the Warbird's word.
That if your WWII aircraft contain at least 5% (!?) of original parts you can call it a warbird.

And not a replica.

Two cannibals ate a clown. One says, "Did he taste funny to you?"

I know, it's an old one.

ehwatezedoing, not sure how interested you are in this stuff. A warbird is any vintage military aircraft now operated by civilian organizations and individuals or, in some instances, by historic arms of military forces. Can be original, replica etc. The accepted museum definitions of original, replica etc are in the following,

There was a kerfuffle some time ago when a 'restorer' turned-out an unbelievable number of expensive classical vintage vehicles.

Subway faces difficult times like all others. It is sometimes challanging to make both ends meat.
