It is with sadness that I pass on news that long time PPRuNe contributor, Keith Jillings (Keef), sadly lost his battle with cancer last night.

Deepest condolences to his wife, Margaret, and all his family and friends.

He was a clever, witty, and thoughtful man, as well as a passionate pilot.

RIP Keef

That's awful. I thought he was over the worst. Keef and I crossed swords on several occasions here and on the Flyer Forums and by now he either knows or doesn't which of us was correct.... but mutual respect remained. I'm glad I met him in person as well.

Condolences to 'M'.

I am very sorry to hear that. His posts were always witty and sympathetic and he managed to neatly juggle the message of his mission, as it were, with the vagaries and sometime vulgarities of these pages. It must be hard to suffer from cancer when those around you expect that you will help to shoulder their various and sometimes less tormenting burdens.
His restrained and thoughtful correspondence will be missed.

How sad. He had kind words for me when I needed them.

Sincere and heartfelt condolences to his family.

We exchange few messages a few months back and I also thought the worst was behind him.

Sincere condolences to his family - although words are too poor to help them.

I will miss his contributions here, which were unfailingly witty and wise.

I can't think of anything to add which hasn't already been said, but I'm very sorry to hear the news.
