That would be very similar to the EU concept of democracy wouldn't it. If you don't like the count then let them vote again until you do.

Wot, a bit like the Scots Nats, who didn't like their referendum defeat, so want another one, and the outies, who didn't like their referendum defeat, so are hoping for a different result from this one?

Quite possibly actually although I don't think anyone could accuse a Scot of any sort of being a democrat when it came to sharing with the English.

... quite some time ago, wasn't that? Most of the population don't remember it. Same as nobody remembers the last Liberal Party general election win in Britain... That doesn't stop the Liberals (or whatever they call themselves now) still trying, does it?

cavorting doth complain too much! The style of 'democracy' that he seems to prefer (where matters become 'market transactions'... too long on that continent Mr cheetah, its ways have infected you!), where you do not have a vote but should still have a say, does have the aspect where one can vote with one's democratic feet and take one's market transactions elsewhere... (if one can gain that privilege elsewhere).

That good old maxim Mr cheetah, 'ignorance of the law is no excuse'. Pay proper attention, lad!

Godwin would agree! No complaints,no ignorance, no excuses and vote yes in all referendums unless otherwise instructed by the government throwing the party.

Aha, but by the date of that document shown by Mr cheetah, it had been very nearly 5 years that not one single person in Germany had had the privilege that over 44.7 million people in Britain enjoy now: the right to vote the government of the day out of power! (And if it really takes your particular fancy, that could be the government that gives councils the ability to add an Adult Social Care precept to the Council Tax!)

Deep Joy : (as announced by Osborne) we proles in Lincolnshire are about to aquire an elected Mayor (over & above our 4% Council Tax increase) to oversee the spending by our myriad local authorities of the extra dosh he has vouchsafed unto this area.
Think of the opportunities lads & Lasses : lunches , dinners, limos , flunkies, expenses , foreign travel, luxury offices , a gong afterwards perchance etc etc.
John & Pauline (residents of Presclott Towers, Hull) must surely be considering a punt at this.
Makes one want to weep.

That would be a dire unintended consequence. Prescott and an army of multi hue shirted Momentum troopers under the ultimate command of Seamus Milne operating from his bunker in the wetlands of Westminster.

Xenophon, fear not. If you look at the most recent choices of those folk in Lincolnshire when they enjoyed their privilege to vote (Election 2015 - BBC News), John and Pauline stand no chances of getting their snouts in that trough. To avoid the expenses on dinners, limos, etc., etc. you need that chap who ran your neighbouring Doncaster a while back, he threw all that frivolous waste out!!

Of course, there is an opportunity coming up shortly to remove one of the wasteful layers of government...

Aye maybe ........ but with his overweening sense of entitilement he seems to be able to get into places that Castrol R would struggle to access.
Doncaster is a carbuncle on the bum of the Universe. I lived & worked there for 5 long years.

Hmm. I was told once that if the Humber Estuary was the @r$e-hole of the world, Grimsby is 7 miles up it!

That "overweening sense of entitlement" was a feature of 'New' Labour, wans't it?
