Greetings earthlings.
Put your money into gopher wood.
Given the amount of rain that keeps dropping out of the sky
hereabouts ark construction will be making a comeback.

Wide awake to the sound of the dawn chorus this morning and
it seemed such a terrible morning I thought it would be a
criminal waste to idle in bed

They've probably run out of tattoo space to declare their
individuality and now are all growing beards to be different.

The rain has just stopped after 45 minutes of monsoon grade
wetness.
The bin men do not look impressed at all.

It's so that, despite their performance on the pitch, you can tell that they're not a bunch of girls.......

Capn N, re the rain growing weeds rather than crops: the best thing is to get the weeds when they're small. There's a handy gadget called a Swoe that saves too much kneeling and hoicking - and is easy to use around other plants. I've tried weed-supressing membrane but it's such a faff setting it down, and then there's the aggravation of cutting through it to plant things. The weeds generally grow on top of the blessed stuff anyway. Ł13.99 online.

Always did like things with a long handle.
My shed has enough implements.
Things that have had little or no use.
  • Snow shovel
  • Grave digger spade
  • Root chopper
  • Thing on handle that spins like flailing tines

But no red tractor!
Thank you RBG

Wet here today...and yesterday.

Got a bit wet and muddy up on me canal striking the shuttering. Wellies were caked with about 10 pound of clarts and trying to stay upright was nigh on impossible. Had a few cups of tea then applied cricketers' rule - rain stopped play - for an early stack.

You can feel the wetness from here.

Just returned home after a fantastic weekend for No1 daughter's wedding to find drains blocked and overflowed into the garage. Called out the company we have a contract with for blocked drains etc., they tried everything to no avail. Now waiting for regional Water Company drain unblocking team to arrive as it's affecting the three houses in the road. Happy days!!!

I think it's time to start collecting in the animals two by two.
Rain, rain, rain, rain, rain ad infinitum.

Today's tedium will be broken by the excitement of having an
armful of my royal blood drained into a succession of test tubes.

Could you leave out the mosquitoes this time please? Oh, and the spiders too.

That's a fascinating link, Radar.

"Mixed martial arts fighter Ivan ‘JP’ Cole has died aged 25, with early reports suggesting he was shot while playing Russian Roulette. Dallas Police has confirmed Cole was found dead on Saturday morning.
