Our Premier has just declared the state to be under lockdown, and we should all work from home.

My cleaners just said they were working from home, they will clean their own house, and send me the bill.

Q. What do you call a sunny day after two rainy ones?
A. Monday!

In RAF days we had a chap who wrote to Gillette to tell them how he had been on a jungle detachment in Borneo for six months and had to shave in cold water with just the one razor blade - and it kept him clean shaven and smooth right through. Gillette wrote back to thank him for his kind words and ended with "...please find enclosed a further six months supply" - another razor blade!

Clearly a company with a warped sense of humour!

They thought it would razor smile or two...

Walking home yesterday, approaching a roundabout there was loud "clang" as a lorry came round the corner and I was nonplussed to see a beer keg bouncing off the road like one of Barnes Wallis's anti-dam contraptions. I fielded it from almost under the front of the following car and dumped it on the side of the pavement - before you ask, it was empty and in any case had formerly contained Burtons ale. Posty said back of lorry - which didn't stop - was completely open; I was too busy watching trajectory of said keg!

Today I saw my first ever mole on a footpath across a field in Suffolk. Poor little sod was in his back and clearly dying for some reason. I looked in vain for some method of quick dispatch and found nothing - they are so tidy in Suffolk. When I returned he had expired thank goodness. I expect a buzzard or the hen harrier I saw yesterday will have been grateful for the extra protein. Very sad.

It doesn't take long for the clean-up squad to arrive when an animal dies, treadie. Some are prey, some are predators and some are scavengers ... nature really does know what it's doing doesn't it?

One was poised, always, for another weather Armageddon experience (sorry Bluey) in the form of deluge and electric clouds.

Thus far, a bit wet, but flat as a pancake.

One day, maybe...

Apparently, the electric clouds are now delayed due to operational reasons...as in expected tomorrow.

@Treadi. We have a mole in the living room a few weeks back. Fell down the steps in hot weather. Tough little so and so. Relocated to the field.

After losing the will to live dealing with the bank, we set off to John Lewis for some easy shopping...
Then all hell broke loose in my back. The left erector spinae muscle decided to lock up. Ooof the pain was immense.
Made it home armed with very strong painkillers and some deep heat patches.
This treatment has worked in the past and has been advised by my physiotherapist.
