Saloon version fitted with (later) electric fan and honeycomb grille.
Thank you all. Electric fan in those days?? Wow. It was about 54 or 55 when the photo was taken. He then got a Morris Oxford III, green in colour. Leathered off when put back in garage if wet.
Off to bed at last. Been talking with potential new SIL. Yes I know Bluey, please don't blow a gasket lol

Hahaha ... nah, I don't do gasket-blowing laser but is that son in law or sister in law? If it's the latter, this might be a good point to remind you of your "I will never get married again" resolution you crazy person you.

Morning all, back from London.

Belated birthday greetings, RBG! Had seen The Book of Mormon being advertised in London and good to learn it's worth going so might watch it next time I am there (probably in about 6 weeks time or so).

We will see a lot more of those extreme weather events in the years to come. Mind my words.

Visa has come yeaaah! Trying to change my flight which I had booked for the 14th originally. Won't let me do it online, been on hold for 35 minutes now. Not impressed. Now they want to charge me an extra 2038!!! That is what I would have paid in business

I think yon golfer would be a bit more circumspect in his filming, if he knew how fast crocs can move when they can be bothered

Good afternoon all.
Back from a trip up to Stalybridge to see my mother and take
Mrs HF to a UK Biobank imaging session this morning.
You can get an idea of what UK Biobank is about here

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/UK_Biobank

I was banned from the imaging assessment as I'd once had a metal splinter in my eye and there may be more left.

Been a busy afternoon. We've been finding one or two dead birds in the garden and today there were a handful more, almost all greenfinches. Having despatched them with due honours, went and Googled what it might be that was seeing them off.

Seems to be medical, and to do with a mega-feeder we recently installed, apparently the more birds flock down to share your bounty, the more liable to pass this disease on, one to the other.

So it's beeen scrub, disinfect, shift shit all afternoon. Same again tomorrow because the poor little blighters spent half the evening perched on their feeder hanging pole, wondering where their dinner had gone and drop-drop-dropping all over the newly disinfected base.
