Happened to come across 'Gideon of Scotland Yard' while surfing, so watching.
Great long stream of English names in the credits including Jack Hawkins.
Until you get to the director.
John Ford.

Reminds me there are some great films I would love to see again for the first time.
Pink Panther comes to mind - where Clouseau has a go on the parallel bars and dismounts straight down the stairwell.

Jousting doesn't look fair, when only one person gets a vehicle, and the other a weapon...

I flew 11 minutes today. It took me five hours.

A quick circuit? Or positioning?

It was a quick circuit. Each parked aircraft has to fly at least once every 30 days in order to avoid some expensive deep maintenance. The rest of the time was taken up in taxis and dealing with a tech. malfunction on the aircraft once we fired it up.

Apologies for aviation content.

One has to keep the riff-raff out, you know.

You came home early - I was in the process of "getting up on a day off" and hadn't gone downstairs yet...

' Iran has sent the black box of a Ukrainian passenger plane which was accidentally downed in Tehran earlier this year to France. All 176 people on board were killed when the plane was hit by two missiles shortly after take-off on 8 January. Iran's deputy foreign minister said the black boxes were taken to Paris on Friday and would be read on Monday.' bbc

Awfully decent of them. I can understand how difficult it was for them to find someone to crate them for shipping, find the shipping address, find a shipper and do all the damned paperwork.

Six months to mess with the recorders.
Anyone else suspicious as hell?

Only to the extent they may suppress some details to spare the anguish of the relatives. The statements from Iran concerning failure to survey and align the site seem dreadfully plausible.
