We don't have a hedgehog but we do have a tawny owl whom the dogs don't bother to bark at but they do bark at passing foxes and felines. It would be nice to have a hedgehog but it would have to stay in the front garden which has grass and shrubs.

How coincidental! Twelve bottles of wine have just been delivered (no thanks to Ben & Antonio! Their forklift is either farked or their budgies are strangling them).

That should see me through to the end of this takeover.

Thought just sprung into me noggin! Has anyone visited Gainsey's Grove since it was planted? I visited a couple of years later but not much had happened in such a short time.

It would be nice to see a pic of the Grove in more recent times.

When I first moved into the Lindrink Retox Spa, there were several hedgehogs and a couple of frogs sharing my estate. Sadly, a chap up the road started feeding the odd visiting badger.

Not long later, these badgers told all their mates and they decided to move in and built a sett.

Within 2 months there were precisely zero hedgehogs and frogs. That made me “Grumpy of Somerset”!

Unhappy

Rightly so Grumpy of Somerset. Badgers are not the sweet little creatures some people think they are a misapprehension encouraged by the likes of Chris Packham et al.

Ring? You could ring the local crematorium as this must be a problem they frequently address.
I have my mother's signet ring, cut off by the undertakers. (They left her wedding ring in place). It had been kept by my father for 48 years and came to me with his papers.

I missed the virtual booze-up, but as I sit here at the desk, working away at home on Continuing Airworthiness matters there are two empty Tiger bottles left over from last evening's "Houseparty" session with the children.

Personally I would be afraid to refer to Radar66 in anything like those terms!

Bonjour à tous.. buongiorno a tutti - late on parade I'm afraid! Blame Sailonline - with a TransAt ongoing and the annual slalom through the Stockholm Archipelago yesterday it's been a busy weekend! The global "staying indoors" has meant many races cancelled, so we've also been indulging in some unexpected buddy-ups, particularly E Coast USA!

How are the headaches today? Seems like I missed a party :-)

I saw one UK-overflying aircraft the other day with the most amazingly white contrail - nothing visible today and as I live under the Biggin stack there are usually a/c heading for LHR as well as many overflying, so anyone in the air these days must feel as if they have the skies to themselves. What bliss!

Muddling through thanks and thanks for sending the sun back up northwards. Shame we cannot really enjoy it.

Evening all.
Splendid day to be outside, sunshine and blue skies, what a pity twas only in the garden. So far it looks like it will be good viewing conditions tonight for the 42 Starlink satellites going over. It is strangely addictive watching as they go over about 250 miles above the earth.

In the meantime a Gin and Lemonade is a pleasant way to begin the evening

Cheers all

I'm afraid that it is highly unlikely that you'll see the old guard again on here for another ten years if ever. That is unless the present system and behind scene politics changes for the better, which we all know is not going to happen!

Just finished jet washing for the year. Beer o'clock now.

Nice visiting. Might pop back in but then again I might not.

In the meantime, stay safe and well everybody.

It's not like people are super busy going out at the moment is it FED. It doesn't take long for the 42 to travel over
