1200 rpm and hot water is relocating pungency from bed linen.
First mug of tea completed.
Utilities bill paid.
Now hearing this.
A particularly fine recording of Pictures at an Exhibition (Solo Piano)

Bacon sausage etc to prepare for breakfast.

Would someone prod Tricky Woo; not a recent contributor.

Thank you, I am reminded that the pillows need a wash. Tis a good drying day perhaps as the sun's out...?

Select American accent of choice here ( nothing personal btw )

" Er, sir, ma'am, we have a temperature gradient anomaly caption situation and we'd like to declare an emergency "

Which means the sodding caption light and "ping ! " noise in me car comes on to tell me it's...... freezing ! ....not that one would have noticed with all the frost and stuff and getting to the car in the first place.........ain't tekernology wonderful for alerting us to the bleedin obvious...

Pillows, I`ve tried them all, hard ones, soft ones, triangular ones and the large german variety. Still can`t find a sleeping partner for my head whereby I dont hear my heartbeat on the pillow. Doc tells me its called pulsatile tinnitus-Get over it.

Help is at hand you will be pleased to learn......well, maybe.

As seen, and heard, on tele just last night in fact.......advert for a mattress which, as the blurb went, was "Designed by experts ( yeah, ok, that word alone should sent alarm bells ringing )for British sleeping habits "......who would have thunked the British sleep differently to the rest of the world !

Should the above not be the answer to your problem however......have your tried a litre of gin at all ?

Get relatively soft pillows. That way you can punch, pummel or poke them into just the right shape. And as for "sleep experts", they are just like so many "experts" in other fields; useless. Some years ago, I complained to my GP that I seemed to be constantly tired. I ended up having a nice night's kip in a hospital in Reading, attached to a battery of wires and gizmos, under the gaze of various cameras etc. In the morning, I met with the expert who told me I had one spell during the night when I woke up 58 times in an hour. Fascinating! Now tell me why.. Dunno.
How useful was that!

Devil

Just had to get up from the computer desk for the fourth time in about 15 minutes to provide some food, as Deputy Chief of Staff to the two resident Cats of the Pinky household.

Oh, and the visiting Cat from just down the road, whose alleged 'owners' it appears do not provide for it!

It was also allegedly the first day of Summer here today. I wore jeans and a jumper all day, the maximum was around 19C. Even had a few very light showers of rain! At this, the Lady formerly known as Mrs Pinky fainted.

Had to throw a bucket or two of dust into her face to revive her!

Think it was about King Tutt and the Wars of the Roses. Don't know what all the fuss about global warming is about, the north of England looked hot and sandy then. Good programme, I learnt a lot.

Oh boy, if the Admiral could see that almost 3 days have passed without resurrection he would be pretty peeved i'm sure. Is there not a co pilot for this once absolutely amazing, educational awe inspiring thread?
What a pity.

Startled a very large bird of prey examining the contents of a small pond in the woods on Coulsdon Common this afternoon - wasn't a buzzard which are getting to be regulars hereabouts, pretty sure it was a female hen harrier. Lovely thing to see fairly close up.

Meanwhile, next door but one has a large inflatable Father Christmas attached to their garage roof. He seems to have gone down overnight and is now a shadow of his former portly self...
