Wow indeed. The extent of the cemetaries is incredible. I didn't know there were so many around the world. Makes sense I guess...

I wouldn't rush back too quickly, the air is now chilly and that ruddy "C" word is becoming endemic. Enjoy Hawaii!

I'm sure I've mentioned on here before that I once saw a notice on a Croydon bus referred to the driver as "your personal travel facilitator" or some such species of advanced yuk speak...

"your personal travel facilitator"
I am sure I once had a Sgt Major who used that term to introduce his right boot!

Took the Shepherd to the emergency vets on Sunday following a bad strain to rear leg. Four x rays and anti inflamatory medication. 530
Nothing broken, but I wonder how this compares elsewhere.

It does seem expensive Gemma. That's about 1,000 Aussie dollars. I know emergency vets are expensive but on the two occasions I've needed to take cats to EVs here, it's cost about AUS300 - 400 or about 160 to 212 GBP. There was one more expensive time when my little cat suffered a sudden kidney collapse and I wasn't willing to subject her to the long-ish car drive to the 24 hour emergency vet because she was so sick. I called a 24 hour home visit vet who stayed here for almost an hour sedating, examining, and finally euthanasing her ... that cost me AUS 600, about GBP320.

It must be my week for 'links' - I'm not a model railway person - but I love things that are done with passion and go smackingly well ...

There's a lot of stuff on Youtube about how to build layouts like that - I'm fascinated by it but wouldn't want to do one myself...

Saw this remarkable pic of the Yorkshire floods in the Telegraph today - it's rather like a half finished painting...

Struth!

Christmas pizza from one of the pizza joints.
Seasoned rotisserie turkey, house-made stuffing, rosemary sage cream sauce and Italian cheeses. Served with cranberry sauce and warm turkey gravy.

Not on my wish list.
