Spaghetti and single malt? That sounds to me like the sign of a true Individual.
Eighteen years old, though. Have you checked the 'drink by' date on the label? There is sure to be one there, somewhere.

My neighbour (who was also my mathematics teacher) is a tee-totaller, but he confessed that he kept supplies for visitors at New Year.
However, he told me, he had had to pour the remains of an opened bottle of whisky 'down the toilet' as he feared that it had 'gone off'.

You read the label, just for me? Aww, bless.
My tipple says 'consume as quickly as possible after purchase'. or at least there is some blabla in two languages, I imagine that's what it says anyway.

SWMBO has just had an unpleasant 24 hours, someone mentioned that they were expecting children and grand children to visit as it was Mothers Day Sunday. Well we live far to far away for that but I had expected a card or two from her daughter, grand daughters and great grand daughter. Well the total number of cards, e-mails or phone calls came to a big fat zero. SWMBO is very keen on having facebook ( goodness knows why
) and on there she has seen pictures of her family putting flowers on the other great grand mothers grave with a mention of Mothers Day. SWMBO's breathing has been bad today due to the weather ( she has been told her lungs are 20 years older than their owner ) Finally to top it off the lamb has been taken away and dumped with sheep who dislike him. She has heard him bleating as he is so unhappy.

Dunno what people have against comfort zones and why they are always trying to prod folk out of them. I'm very happy in mine and shall stay here as long as possible.
laser, of course, appears to be approaching the danger zone. Again.

All those questions about cutting of alcohol and salt. I just completed a month without alcohol - last Friday (I have done that in the last three years). On Saturday evening at my parent's place we had a pizza and I opened a small can of bier thinking it would taste fantastic. I had to work hard to finish it. Last night I went out for a bier (a monthly obligation to an acquaintance) - generally I consider a draft an excellent drink to have. Very disappointing. I think after that month I started not caring for alcohol.

I'd happily drink alcohol free beer, except that there are very few that are palatable. Swan Brewery, Perth, W.Aus. used to make one for Saudi Arabia that was actually quite good, but I haven't found it for many a year, and certainly not in NZ at the moment.

I had 6 weeks off the drink last year and like RIS wasn't all that bothered
about restarting it. The alcohol free beer that I did drink during that time
was pretty awful but I do remember the Swan alcohol free stuff "brewed" for
Saudi and it was very good. Haven't seen it around in the UK for years now.
A great pity.

Alhambra, Damm and Aldi's own (brewed in Spain) are all quite drinkable.

Good morning all. A tad dull here but at least dry.
Paperwork all day. L1 visa application then expenses. Not looking forward to being that desk jockey today!
Just had pate on toast for breakfast and a cup of tea.
