Yes, communal skips for glass, tins, plastic, paper and cardboard. And yes, you have to buy back the cardboard briquettes; not something that I do as I don't have an open fire, just an oil-fired boiler.

I believe that it would have been the FSL's birthday today...
Yes, his 75th. RIP.

Off to work tomorrow. It was going to be interesting. Instead, Farnborough.

Nothing wrong with Farnborough, Cap'n Reddo!! Give a wave as you come in. I'll have two cars in the drive, you can't miss them!

You have to love it when a plan doesn't come together....difficult , if not impossible, to fault the reaction of the restaurant, albeit one would have added some other "heartfelt sentiments " to the response less their precious, malnourished ego's didn't understand .

Potatoes and other vegetables were lubricated.
Tomorrow i shall be pressurising air to go inside tyres.

Took a tour of the countryside this autumn day.
Observed white horses galloping in from the Pacific - a stiffish breeze out there; also, a covey of pheasants on the roadside, 3m, 2f; and a NZ Falcon/Karearea.

Is that North or South, and East or West?

House move this weekend. Not far, just a couple of miles. Third trip to the local tip today and a fourth to the charity shop to donate stuff we forgot we had, couple of things uploaded onto fleaBay. Much sucking of teeth and mutterings of 'stressful' in the pub over the move. Not at all.
