Belated read-in, and I only now realised that I must have missed this pub two years ago when travelling up and down the Thames. Next time then...

We ended up doing 12 pubs, two of the GBG pubs and several others that were handy because a) we needed a drink or b) they were there or c) and a) and b) he or me needed a pee. We never got to the Sambrookes tap. Next week.

Up early to prepare to carry out the duties of best man for my oppo who at the age of 66 is marrying again ten years after losing his much missed wife to MND. It will be a bit of a reunion as well with guests being former members of the RN, RM, Black Watch, II Para and a couple of Crabs to lower the tone. All old enough to know better but.......

Will no doubt be like herding cats.

Would it be fair to say, that, the chances of the A55 being gridlocked, Wrexham Central and General rail stations platforms being filled to capacity, and Hawarden being unable to cope with the influx of traffic, all as a result of this new addition to the tourist trail would be, erm, slim ?

In the country with the world's largest oil reserves ( tho' it's a bit thick and lumpy, I hear ) people have a reported, current average income of US 6.50 a month.

Sweetcorn planted. Earlier one had to wear a hat.
Wood glue and panel pins put to good use.

Orange Vanilla Coke is now available. The world is mad.

Note to producers of the world's stuff - "New and Improved" is usually a load of bollocks and most everyone knows it.

Where's our stowaway? He's normally pretty good at manning the pumps. *Sigh* I'd better do it myself then. Upsadaisy.

Trip to London yesterday to renew our passports at Australia House. Then we decided to be a tourist. Wandered past "Big Ben" - still got a lot of scaffolding on it.
Caught a ferry to Tower Bridge. Had a wander around the replica "Golden Hind" - Checkboard struggled with the very low ceilings. Then headed into Borough Markets for some food and to have a look around. Job done.

It's amazing what the advances in aerodynamics have subsequently allowed to fly......unfortunately, cross winds can still catch out the unwary ... one thunks a Mr Sikorsky is unlikely to feel troubled by this new competitor
