Roast Lamb dinner last night. As usual it was eaten with doggie ankle hugging in progress. I never drop any, but for them hope springs eternal - a form of canine National Lottery "One day he's bound to drop a bit".

Prince Philip

i wonder if Prince Philip really is a God??? At 97 he certainly seems to be immortal.

"The Prince Philip Movement is a religious sect followed by the Kastom people around Yaohnanen village on the southernisland of Tanna in Vanuatu. It is a cargo cult of the Yaohnanen tribe, who believe that Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, the consort to Queen Elizabeth II, is a divinebeing."

There's a mega-millions lottery going on in the States.
Prize this week $1.6 billion.
If no one wins - $2b, next week.

A mate in the U.S. actually mentioned this to me a couple of days ago. In his e-mail he said:-

"Sure would be nice if I would win the Mega-millions lottery on Tuesday. Now listed as $1,600,000,000,00
USA dollars. Yes that's one point six Billion. Of course that's the advertised prize. The actual cash prize
is only just over nine hundred million. Then of course comes the taxes. Leaving the winner (if only one
winner) with about five hundred fifty million".

I think I could put up with that mere amount even though it's over a Billion less than advertised

I miss con-pilot! Truly a gentleman. Fabulous story teller. I know someone has to have a few of his seasonal tales, especially the hanging of the christmas lights!

Brilliant - and reminiscing keeps him firmly 'in heaven' (heaven being the survivors' memories of the departed).

Hmmm ... I've tried that link in a couple of browsers and it doesn't work for me. "Page not found." Any ideas anyone?

Yes, it seems to have something odd about it. But hiflymk3's link works.

Some mighty fine folks posted in these threads. Some have left for the Great Beyond, some have been posted elsewhere. The wit and wisdom will be remembered. I was Ppruning and reading one night, laughing so hard I woke my husband in the next room. And he’s deaf!

Anyone know what happened to Jericho? Last I knew he moved back to the wilds of the Great White North. He hated cats! Even wrote an obscene song about them,

And D’aavar! Time waits for no man, I suppose. Aviation has changed a great deal. Glad we were here for the good old days!

DC, sadly Davaar passed away sometime ago. Funny you should mention him, I spotted this a few weeks ago which brought him to mind.

Yes, Cpt, I remember when he passed over. He was an interesting and erudite man.
