Anyone else noticed that more and more websites have automatic playing of videos that
when you scroll down to get rid of they then appear at the bottom of the page? I find them
very annoying and so cut down on the times I visit said websites. I have turned the auto play
off via the about config setting but that now upsets some other sites. IF I wanted to watch these
stupid videos I would but I don't. Grrrr

Furthermore, there are sites where the video that starts automatically isn't actually directly relevant to the main news item - nor is the video that follows . . .

And further furthermore, the videos often include episodes of the soap operas - hardly factual news IMO.
I have absolutely no interest in anything that is supposed to happen on the TV soaps - it's hardly real life FFS.
Nor am I the slightest bit interested in the Kardomoms - or, even, lesser media personalities.

This behaviour of mixing topics with subsequent videos affects my grandson - you can sit him down to watch videos of tractors and five minutes later the stream has warped into another (usually unsuitable) topic.

Just that moment PM'd a regular to ask about the FSL, and there, up he pops.

Bloody Nora, Mr D. I thought I was off the hook for that five guineas I owe you.

Wow!!! No I hadn't hifly ... it will probably be all over the news tonight. I saw one myself years ago up near Geraldton ... very dramatic and such a pinkish red that some people even thought it might have been a distress flare.

My eye and Betty Martin. Adrift for nearly a day, the Fo'c'sle locker looks like the inside of a scran bag and to top it all the Skipper comes up the gangway. Thats me in the rattle again.

Welcome back onboard Tony.

My sister lives in Perth, WA so I asked her if she had seen it. She replied "No. Apparently it has landed around York Toodyay Merredin area and would be about the size of a football. Hope they find it but its a huge area. Have a look at Fireballs in the sky project at Curtin University. They are looking for it."
