Another fine day is upon us here. Top temp of 22C alluded to by the guessers.
Much more of this and the tabloids will be resorting to Scorchio !! etc.

Morning folks.

Tea is at at hand and I'm pondering on what I could do today. The pondering may continue beyond the next few mugs of tea.

Prediction: Certain sections of the community will go into melt-down over the new railway timetables being introduced in various parts of the country.

S.W.M.B.O. does not approve of that Meghan person as I have already said somewhere on another thread.
She was highly critical about her not only because she wore a white dress, ( with all her alleged past history ) but even worse
she didn't curtsy to the Queen.
I, being a wimp, just refused to get involved in any discussions about this whole wedding thing I watched the North West 200
motorcycle road races from Northern Ireland on the BBC via the internet.

Quite a few people have commented on that, Nervous, but they did do the traditional thing just after the national anthem and just before they started down the aisle, so you may reassure SWMBO on that point. I'm a bit puzzled by the colour-of-the-dress thing though. Every bride I've ever seen has been in some shade of white or other and I'm damn sure the vast majority of them would not have been virgins.

Who gives a stuff what colour the dress is??? Should Harry have been wearing something to say he wasn't a virgin? I personally know he was getting it away since at least 2003.

The old D of E looked like he was on his last breath, but everybody else enjoyed it.

The only wrong line was the black preacher who said "We got to get y'all married" when it should have been "ALL y'all" because there was more than one.

Before Queen Victoria, brides usually got married in whatever their best dress was - unless it was Green. Brides in China prefer scarlet.

In China the colour white, (well, not a colour, officially, white is a 'tint' and black is a 'tone'), continuing! white is associated with death in China.

Afternoon all. Lovely here.

I managed to avoid the wedding by working. The roads were lovely and quiet!

Evening all. No wedding for me neither.
Today, a "beer walk". 10 kms and you supposedly walk past 4 or 5 breweries, trying their beer of course. Two were closed but it was still good fun (and good beer and food). We have got so many breweries around here, there are several different beer hiking paths, and most of the beer gardens are really nice.

I managed to avoid the wedding by spending the day sat in a field approx 4.5 miles to the East of Windsor, photographing arriving aircraft. But then it all went wrong around 11:40 when aeroplanes disappeared from the skies all around, not to be seen again until a couple of minutes after 12:00. Presumably kept it nice and quiet for them at Windsor.

It's used to control the car as it moves down the road, lomapaseo.

Home at 3am, just at a bowl of TexMex Chilli Con Carne. Very nice it was too - I am expecting weird dreams, however.

Another beautiful start to the day. Monday is upon us once more and with comes the new
railway timetables. Good luck to all those who commute to work by rail.

Happy Birthday Manchester Ship Canal. Opened on this day in 1894.

Morning folks.

The day is off to a nice sunny start. More gate fettling activity on me lock restoration today.

A large mug of tea is in order before putting nose to the grinding wheel.

Not even fitted I would think, a). A car for export and b). When did wearing a seatbelt become the law?
