...or to put it another way, may your balls turn square and fester at the edges.

Senior daughter's car passed its MoT without a problem.

Texted her and she's celebrating the news in Leipzig.

A cracking start to the morning. +2C, Mr Sun peeping over the horizon
in readiness for a day in the sky. The river level is slowly receding but too
late for my mate who got his basement swamped.

Usual battle with the IF last night but I think I came away with a draw.

Morning folks.

Tis gorgeous out there with clear blue skies and that big yellow ball glowing at its best.

IF stayed away last night, so one slept very well until woken up by a passing motorbike that sounded like a long, drawn out wet ..errr.. botty burp. Mrs 4ma has just delivered a large mug of tea to hand....she's a diamond!

Certainly not. Strictly entre-nous, bed rest after a rather solid kick in the wotsits while playing rugby in Fremantle 1979. Totally innocent, but I was winding up my opposite number somewhat.

Happy some single-digit day in April........can't be bothered to check

Today is National "Deep-Dish" Pizza Day.
maybe not where you currently are.

It's also National Burrito Day (same country).
nice to see those two getting along.

Struth, WilliumMate; So you would definitely not approve of the ancient curse....

female choruses sing at a higher pitch than male choruses, for obvious reasons. I used to sing in a male harmony chorus. We had a sister chorus and if, on the odd occasion, we wanted to sing together the music had to be rewritten to cater for that. We just couldn’t sing together as we would normally do.

I have just arrived home from a quiet read (front page of The Times) over three pints - and come back far less relaxed than I left here - all because of this item.

Full on Victor Meldrew display made in public !!

What a complete and utter pillock !!

Morning folks.

I shall not steal HF's thunder by announcing what day it is.

Off to me canal for what promises to be a very pleasant day weather-wise. Possibility of lunch being taken on the sun deck.

WTF is going on in London? It sounds like a civil war is going on.

The end of the week is upon us once again.
A watery sun is attempting to break through the thin cloud cover.
+3C and a fine day forecast.

A bit of bad news at the hospital yesterday. I've got a recurrent bout of
peritonitis and the catheter that was put in about 2 weeks ago will have to
be removed to clear up any infection. So back into hospital this afternoon
for surgery to drag it out. I'll then go on to haemodialysis temporarily for
about 4 months to give things a rest.

Today is FRIDAY

Handsfree, you can have a bit of a laugh and raise your humour levels in the knowledge that your username pretty much describes your situation when the catheter is in.

Hope you get rid of the peritonitis.

I guess that's it for the all-boy and all-girl recording artists too then, 4ma. Truly pathetic.

Best wishes for a speedy recovery HF.

Back from me canal after what should have been an enjoyable day. Unfortunately, it was spoilt by the sickening sight of a number of hares and rabbits in the canal. Their back legs had been tied before they had been thrown in. Our friendly farmer reckons it was hare coursers getting rid of their spoils when plod had turned up. Hare coursing is a big problem in this part of the country with gangs coming from far and wide - the scrotes are totally ruthless and will destroy crops/gates/fences as they drive their vehicles across fields in pursuit of their prey.
