If you come into contact with or are abducted by Aliens - rest easy in the knowledge that there is no US Gov't agency prepared to take your report.

Robotic pets are the answer. They don't need feeding or crap all over the place and you can switch them off for some peace.

Hats, yes, never saw my Father without his "Trilby". I guess a similar clip today would show everybody ('cept me ) wearing a baseball cap backwards ?

Morning all. CAVOK and brrr, 2C.
No wind either.

With the clocks having gone back it's nice to have a bit of light first thing
again but alas it will only be transitory. I'm not sure it's worth it anyway
when the price is darkness so early in the evening.

Could do with a hat this morning. Preferably one with flaps for the lugholes.

Tamagotchi were all the rage ten years ago. Whatever happened to them?

Morning folks.

Had a lie in and have just got out of me pit. Just realised that it's nearly lunchtime in old money.

The last of this year's beans plants are has beens.
Yet more leaves hoiked in the garden waste bin.
Mr Sun is disappearing to the west.
Time to bid it farewell until tomorrow, collect washing in and fettle more tea.

To the pub I say, to the pub ...

Log fire, comfy stool at the bar, a few beers and a hot roast beef baguette (english mustard) and skinny fries

... the only good thing that has happened today (other than redsnail was looking after my IF)

.... through the pub doors at 06.01, only people in and acquired favourite bar perches ...

Beer in my hand and coffee in hers, confirmed some nice rare sirloin left over from weekend and cheery fire burning

... 'cue' (oops) unusual cracking sound, followed by roaring noise

... followed shortly by smoke smell

Chimney fire - 999 - lots of people in uniform now I/C (in fairness a nice bunch of lads and no over excitement - happy for us to remain indoors with beef baguettes and beers as long as we didn't get in way).

Now home - smell a bit kippered.

Thank you, Mr Senior, that reminds me to get the chimney swept. Just need to collar a passing urchin and a cheery cockney........

Junior daughter shows her artistic talent for pumpkin carving. No 1 grandson is a Ghostbusters fan and he had pestered asked his mum to carve Slimer.

The Skipper reported in just the other day. Looks like the IF community has been busy moving houses

The IF seem to have lost my address over the last few days. Long may it
continue.

Blimey SPM that's early to visit a pub. Personally I'm impressed but I can't
see Mrs HF accompanying me to a pub at dawn.

A cloudy start today and a little warmer than yesterday, 7C.
