.......with a half crown in their pocket.
Remember the Paki who saved up all his money and then took it into the BOAC office in Regent Street to buy a ticket back to Karachi. He poured out all the change and notes on to the counter, and when it was counted he was 6d short, so he popped outside and stopped the first man he saw and said could he please have sixpence to buy his ticket back to Pakistan ? Here's half-a-crown, said the passing man, take 4 of your friends with you.

( Enoch Powell era joke - racist ? Moi ? )

Goodness Speedy ... I remember the incredible stir Enoch Powell made in his day! I remember his "Rivers of Blood" speech protesting against the proposed race relations bill; what an uproar that caused!

Goodly morning all.
Excellent to see the ship has the FSL back on board and in
charge once again.

Went up to Tameside Hospital yesterday to rescue the aged mater
who had collapsed in Tescos whilst shopping on Friday.
No damage done and the consultant thinks they may have been
overdoing her beta-blockers so they have been halved. We shall
see.
In the meantime I now have two members of SM on board to
keep me to the straight and narrow for the foreseeable future.
The secret is to get up very early and get some "me time" before
SM venture out of their scratchers.

Coupla little jobs to do today.. change the cartridge in the tap and then re-lay some concrete slabs in front of me garage.

Dispatched earlier to laundry with duvet and pillows. No point arguing as memories of domestic washing machine throwing a hissy fit and paying the repair man the thick end of a hundred and spending a couple of hours cleaning the utility room to her standards are still painful. Second chore is to visit local farm shop to get assorted veggies for dinner. As these will be inspected with a jewellers glass I'd better pick the right ones.

This is what you want, Mr D. Probably a little tricky indoors but certain to cut swathes through queues in the Post Office. The Mk IVs might complain a bit about you ruining their support stockings though......

Morning folks.
Chucking it down here and it looks like that will be the mood for
at least all morning.

Make sure you oil your wheel bearing Mr D. Don't want those
Mk IVs hearing you squeak up behind them.

One shall have to see to installing a spare Tardis elevator in Draper Towers. The sub basements (that dont exist) still need to be accessed now and then for maintenance. Sub basement 376 will have a Tardis disposal chute fitted, much better for evidence disposal, much better to use the belly of a star at the beginning of time.

No. 3 Daughter was shooting a wedding in Yorkshire this past weekend, so we had the pleasure of looking after our grand-daughters. Thank goodness the weather was nice. This morning has been a bit of a wash-out.

It may be nice weather out there but the fog is masking it.
Good day to you all.

Nothing to report.

She shoots with a bag of cameras. I wouldn't venture out of the house if she was armed with anything bigger than a .177 air pistol.
