Bluey: growing just a few vegies there and herbs
(don't call me a lentil knitter, I'll rip your ***king head off)
No, i'm talking a plate of meat and four veg
Since we moved in 15 months ago, the locals seem to think that we are undernourished, because they keep showering us with their home-grown veg. Just today I've noshed donated cherry toms (I cannot tell you how good), beetroot, spuds and carrots. In the last fortnight we've been given red cabbage, turnips, peppers, walnuts, cucumbers, courgettes, pumpkins, apples and leeks. Oh, and jerusalem artichokes, although I gave the kind donor a graphic description - including mime and sound effects - why they would not find their way into our pot or our intestines.
My poor body has never had so much wholesome food thrust into it.

With the tv going in the background I have noted that Christmas ads seem to have ramped up seamlessly right after Hallowe'en ended. I pay little attention but it does seem an even earlier grab for money than last year. Every day earlier just dilutes what ever joy Christmas has to offer unless you just focus on family and friends without the materialistic garbage.

Morning peeps, dull and damp here, I'm living one of they landhog days, spent all day yesterday thinking it was Friday, sat waiting at tea time for Bro draper to call on the intercom and ask if I wanted owt at the fish shop, buggah got to relive friday today.
Rather a lukewarm civic firework display in me park last night, it used to last about a hour when they first started holding them got ot down to about ten minutes this year, with any luck they will scrap it altogether next year.
Didn't help it was raining and the council wanted two quid for entry into the park for the first time.

Morning all.
Tis FRIDAY; the day of wonder, excitement and merriment.
Dull, grey and wet.
I have taken breakfast in accordance with the conditions viz
Macsweens haggis smothered in tomato ketchup.
Sets a chap up for a day of probing the Derby defences.

Good morning all.
Nice bike there MrD, remember when Jap bikes were a novelty. My Grandpa was a Royal Enfield man, my Dad Velocette and I was a BSA guy.
Peeing it down here. Times like this wish I had access to a car. Vet's breckie club today whilst I get chance. Cloggieland tomorrow.

Temp overnight didn't drop below 17C, normally only 10 at this time of year. Reason is the high pressure bringing wx up from N. Afrika. Wish it'd bought a bit of Sunshine though.
Nephew, even if a man in blue, wants to watch out for the light fingered brigade Mr. D.. I Have an excellent anti theft device in the garage. $'drain pipes in the form of a 'U" with a couple of lengths of rebar running through the loop then cemented into the floor. A hefty Abus chain and lock through that and the frame. If they want it they have to either saw the frame in half or dig up the floor.

Just watched a TV documentary on the Mackay-Bennett, surely of interest to our FSL.

Also played a sad role in the Titanic disaster, recovering bodies. Due limited space on the ship, only the bodies of 1st and 2nd class passengers were taken on board, all others either not recovered or buried at sea (except for the body of a young boy whose identity remained a mystery until a few years back when DNA analysis revealed who he was).
