Morning all, more rain overnight.

Forecast not great for the coming week, so temporary repairs to the garage roof are going to be the order of the day. Forecasting wind gusts to 50 Kts later.

Interesting to see the totally different return times for school children. I was surprised how early the Spanish schools broke up, some as early as mid-June. Locally the kids go back during the first week of September I think.

One notes as the world continues to fall apart around us the BBC conciders the break up of some spotty faced skiffle group the most important item of news this morning.

Morning. Peeing down here. And my computer decidedly to suddenly switch off and re-tune. Why can't they warn you about these bloody things?

The rain has kept me from going out for coffee. This means I don't fancy brekker yet. So like Tony, I am a bit discombobulated timing-wise.

Edited to add the rain hasn't affected me per se, I'm not that much of wimp. I had to give the daughter a lift to a friends and her boy friend a lift to work, because they are wimps!

- mine has been doing that for a while, too - first I thought it's some virus, then decided maybe I had missed the warning (for updates). Last it happened in the middle of a post to JB, which was displayed when I got back finally. To my greatest astonishment - usually comments disappear.

Just given the Stepway a wash after getting hospital appointment which is for the day after mi wedding anniversary.

As the BBC have finally decided to ditch their "Weather Service" provided by the Met Office, when will they realise that they need to also ditch the "BBC News" service completely as it becomes more unfit for purpose by the day? Both badly need outsourcing.

Another thanks for the recipe here, beaufort ... one has one's first gache melee in the oven even as we speak. One does admit to two aberrations though ... one has added some cinnamon to the mix, and one does not have any genuine Guernsey cream.

I believe sleeping in a cupboard was common in Scotland.

sensors that when detecting that the watcher has reclined on the sofa - tilt the screen to remain horizontal with the watcher's eyes.
Wouldn't be much use in this household - if the watcher is reclined on the settee (or in the matching easy chair, for that matter) eyes are usually completely closed and brain is in neutral.

Went swimming this morning as usual on Monday and got into one of the three lanes that are there for lane swimming only to be told immediately that two were required some sort of class and that lane swimmers of all standards should occupy the one remaining lane or the other half of the pool occupied by families (yeah, right). Gave up after a couple of dozen lengths and on the way out sought further details. Apparently this will continue after the holidays from 09:00 to 10:00 each day and could take all three lanes. I haven't seen any notices about this and there is nothing on the website which just says 'Public swimming 06:30 to 19:30 all week'.There were some very unhappy swimmers there this morning. I used to be able to go each weekday, now they're only open for restricted times during school terms.

An appropriate snottogram has been sent to 'the powers that be'.

Octopussy - didn't see your earlier about the Pimms Pudding. Well done lass!

That is an excellent diagram Mr D., the only thing that is wrong is that sudoko puzzle is unfinished. Keef would have polished it off well before the start of the service.

angels thanks.

Too quiet in here today, everything feels very strange. Oh well, maybe I should resort to actually doing some work.

Bah, on me old steam trawler we slept 6 men in each of two cabins in the forecastle. No toilets, no heating, no water, but plenty of noise from the steam trawl winches.
The box bed and the Japanese hotel looks like heaven both.

I was stationary in traffic close to the Lancs Police HQ when the name of a cottage took my eye. CASA MIA.

Road block? Were they looking for you?

CASA MIA.
= House of Mia

Mi Casa = My house.

Back to referees.
None are allowed to use common sense these days. The FA have removed that privilege. They are regimented as to what they are (or are supposed to do)for fear of action against them. I would hate to be an assessor these days, as they too have rules to stick to and what to report...mainly non-compliance. It's a shambles.
Why do you think Keith Hackett and Howard Webb got out?
