So I have to pick up an RV

Myself and two chums are off to Oshkosh this month. They are flying into O'Hare from Heathrow. I am arriving by train from Cleveland. There may be a gap between me picking the "Canyonero" up and them arriving. I have emailed O'Hare with no success...soooooo has anyone here any idea IF I can park an RV in any of the car parks in O'Hare?

Just a long shot ...but I figured that you lot just might have an idea.

Disclaimer: while I've driven by the lot many times, I've never sized it up for RVs. There are some areas just off airport adjacent to the threshold of RWY 22L that seem to have areas you might be able to wait as well.

Good luck.

There are a number of hotels around O'Hare where you could park, go to the airport on the hotel shuttle bus, meet the visitors and then return by the hotel shuttle bus to the hotel and pick up the RV. Give the driver a good tip and he will be happy and you will be dollars ahead. He was making the journey in any case.

Not being facetious, but there was a Trailer/RV park at the end of one of the runways - at least until a DC-10 almost crashed into it in 1979.

I wonder if it's still there?

Very smart idea Boing. I'll try that myself one day soon.
