And the media are along for the ride to sell more beer and laundry detergent. Yahoo.com just published another 'article' on Beto O'rourke with a bunch of praise. They are pure political ads dolled up to sound like news. This is the third one this week. Yahoo seems to get a Dem senator, or congressman 'article' in each week from Salon, CNN, HuffPo, etc. Selective bias much?

Couldnt agree more, the “news stories/articles” all tilted toward the minority/special interest groups have been slowly surfacing for the last month or so.
This is social engineering on a grand scale folks, it has absolutely nada, zip, zilch to do with the good of this country, nothing.

So bring on the hate for Trump et al, because nothing is going to change.

The stage is is yours Chuks and Hempy, at least I get a chuckle out of you two.

Given the intervention of her ex-boyfriend shows that she was less than truthful what happens now as I understood that the testimony she gave to the Senate Committee was under oath - has she opened herself up to legal action for perjury (?)

Pretty sure both sides and their cast of supporters are vacuuming the internet ether to judge which way the winds are blowing, judging by the move onto Trumps finances, Russian collusion and accusations against Kavanaugh must not be having the desired effect on voters.

The Dems are going to be in big trouble if the FBI investigation turns up Butkus.

Oh well, we all elect these clowns, shame on us for being fooled, time, after time, after time, ad nauseum.

Daniel Hannan: Kavanaugh may be guilty. But justice demands that his confirmation should take place.

Butkus was involved now? He did play for those nasty evil Chicago Bears, so there is that!

(I believe you were referencing "bupkis"!!)

Probably, however it would not surprise me if Father Christmas and all the reindeer turned up somewhere in this sad saga.

  • Bupkis (also Bupkes, Bupkus, Bubkis, Bubkes): Emphatically nothing, as in He isn't worth bupkis (בופּקיס indeterminate, either 'beans' or 'goat droppings', possibly of Slavic, Vlach, or Greek origin; cf. Polish bobki 'animal droppings')[2] (MW, OED)

Animal droppings, I told you the reindeer would be involved somehow.

https://streetwiseprofessor.com/some...s-ive-learned/ properly excoriated our Senate. Their institution was brought down hard. Maybe worse than the McCarthy display of invective, and partisanship. My own senator was part of the circus and did not acquit himself with gravitas and dignity at all.

None of them did. One side vows not to vote for the candidate before the hearings, then why have a hearing, straight vote, up or down, but no, we have to go through this embarrassing charade of a hearing, which changed nothing.
Now we have the FBI investigation, unless there is a bombshell in it, it will change nothing.
So let’s disband the Senate Judiciary Commitee as it’s members are obviously unfit to serve on it.
Pick one person from each state from the phone book. Call them up, yes or no vote on X candidate for y Government position,
The result has to be better than what these knucklehead Congressmen and women aren’t doing.

do we get to ask one question?

If so my question is "do you like beer?"

I would be happy to just leave the choice up to Dick Butkus.

Concur with both of the above.

When do you need the reindeer?

Am I alone in finding it somewhat amusing that a room full of unethical lying thieves are sitting in judgement to see if someone is fit to fill a position?

Amusing is hardly the word. Tragic might be more apropos.

Even more so is that pretty much all of them will be re elected when the time comes.

Ask your average American: "Coke or Pepsi?" and they'll know the answer and purchase one or the other unthinkingly. Elections are the same.
