Trump is a nicer person than I....if it were me doing the deciding Mittens would never hear a word from me or acknowledgement in any way shape, fashion, or form....for his comments and complete lack of support AFTER he lost the Nomination to me.

Up until that point....I thought very highly of Romney and both contributed and worked for his Campaign for President. However....his post-Primary conduct made him just another Republican Elite and not a Team Player.

But as I say....Trump is a much better Man than I when it comes to the forgiveness, inclusion, and reaching across a divide than I am.

I don't knowwhat's in the mans heart, good or evil, but he's not an idiot in his actions.

Heck i would have even reached out to Hilly to serve if I thought it would look good to the greater majority and if it didn't work out I could fire her.

I haven't so much whining and belligerence since the Republicans took away the Democrat's slaves 150 years ago! Dems preach tolerence right up to the point they actually have to practice it.

Speaking of tolerance, just how often does Pelosi in rich San Fran, or Hilary in lily-white Chappaqua, or Sanders in the whitest state in the union have to practice by, you know, dealing with the minorities or refraining from judging people. Lets's not get started on college crybabies in places like Cambridge or Brunswick, ME. Not much, I suspect. Hilary might be the most isolated person imaginable.

now, Slick Willie has to tolerant Hilary being home every night, no Jeff Epstein orgies with teens anymore.

General "Mad Dog" Mattis wrote a Letter to his Marines in the 1stMarDiv on the Eve of Battle in Iraq. I suggest it shows his true colors....and he is the acme of what it means to be an Officer of Marines.

Trump Summons Media To the Woodshed

What good will come of this ?

In my view it just forces more undercover rantings to the internet discussion boards.

No matter it's pretty obvious in this thread that we only deal with selected facts and lots of imaginary correlations no matter what the ultimate source.

Trump Summons TV Figures for Private Meeting, and Lets Them Have It

It had all the trappings of a high-level rapprochement: President-elect Donald J. Trump, now the nationís press critic in chief, inviting the leading anchors and executives of television news to join him on Monday for a private meeting of minds.

On-air stars like Lester Holt, Charlie Rose, George Stephanopoulos and Wolf Blitzer headed to Trump Tower for the off-the-record gathering, typically the kind of event where journalists and politicians clear the air after a hard-fought campaign.

Instead, the president-elect delivered a defiant message: You got it all wrong.

Mr. Trump, whose antagonism toward the news media was unusual even for a modern presidential candidate, described the television networks as dishonest in their reporting and shortsighted in missing the signs of his upset victory. He criticized some in the room by name, including CNNís president, Jeffrey A. Zucker, according to multiple people briefed on the meeting who were granted anonymity to describe confidential discussions. ...............

Damn, after reading the General's letter, I'm heading down to the recruiting office. Who's with me?

I remember a similar letter from Gen Schwarzkopf immediately preceding the move from Desert Shield to Desert Storm. I remember thinking the good General was born for this as he had war in his name.

Roughly 185,000 Americans died in WW2 fighting fascism in Europe. I wonder what they'd think about this.

A Besieged Trump Presidency Ahead - Taki's Magazine

........."A time for truth. Despite the post-election, bring-us-together talk of unity, this country is hopelessly divided on cultural, moral and political issues, and increasingly along racial and ethnic lines.

Many Trump voters believe Hillary Clinton belongs in a minimum-security facility, while Hillary Clinton told her LGBT supporters half of Trumpís voters were racists, sexists, homophobes, xenophobes and bigots.

Donald Trumpís presidency will be a besieged presidency, and he would do well to enlist, politically speaking, a war cabinet and White House staff that relishes a fight and does not run.

The battle of 2016 is over.

The long war of the Trump presidency has only just begun.

Irony, thy name is Hill.

@ORAC: I think that Taki magazine got that right: the battle of 2016 is over, the war of Trump's presidency is about to begin ... 20 January 2017. What's going on now is mobilization, as before August 1914.

Very high level strategic meeting it appears, to paraphrase slightly;

"Don't use pictures of me that make me look like a fat 70 year old, said the fat 70 year old..."

He's going to need a much thicker skin that this.

Any question why Normal Folk (those who understand reality) are so fed up with the Obama DOJ?

When the Obama DOJ under Holder now Lynch come out with these decisions any reasonable person has to ask what kind of drugs they must be using at the DOJ.

Lowering Hiring Standards for Police Officers is the way to improve the quality of Policing in the country....Really?

In a related issue....a Young Man lost his Court Case when he sued a Police Department who denied him an Interview because he scored too high on an Entrance Exam....the results showing him to have scored a "33" and the Department would not consider hiring him because he was too intelligent.

The Department prefers to hire those who score between 22-27 on their Entrance Test as they tend not to get bored with Police Work as do "brighter" people.

I wonder if they ever considered finding ways to place those "bright" folks in challenging positions where they would stay interested in their work?

We wouldn't want any free speech into the marketplace of ideas, now would we, John Hill? Truth is, the Left Wing Conspiracy finds itself out of touch and doesn't want the proles to actually think and vote, just listen to their masters and do as told.

Ah....but remember what the Left is saying about Trump.....he is a "Liar", a "Fraud", a "Cheater".....can Hillary really trust him not to turn the FBI, DOJ, and IRS loose to conduct whatever Investigations the evidence suggests is needed?

Perhaps, he is just stating he will not order those Agencies to improperly target her and the Foundation.
