Snow shovelling is an early morning exercise I'd rather skip.

Raining in Silicon valley as well. But probably not as much as UK. Nearly finished first work day of 2016...it doesn't seem to be getting any better.

Lasernigel's tales of medical [email protected] are very interesting. However they do not fill me a tremendous amount of confidence in the ability of many [email protected] techs floating around the world.

Best of the day to you all.
Dark, miserable and gloomy here but not raining for which I'm grateful.

Hurty foot keep me awake most of the night. I thought it was gout but
since having got up and moved around a bit it's feeling a lot better so
I'm relieved at that.
Gout is the work of Beelzebub.

Angels last post was a few months back and read as follows:

Bluey - Tend to hang out elsewhere nowadays, all well though. I still check in here from time to time.

Re the electoral roll, I checked that box ages ago and have found that it does actually work....

Fear not JohnF, angels was last heard from on Sunday last in another place.
As far as I know all is well with him.

More rain down here and the Trent is going for walkies across the fields in places. I fear that if the rains continue we may be looking at a local pub cellar full of water again.

Rain here, too, now, snow is quickly vanishing. As long as temps stay above zero that's just as well.

Good day all. Raining here again. El Nino is here officially.

However they do not fill me a tremendous amount of confidence in the ability of many [email protected] techs floating around the world.
Yes I do have to nursemaid quite a few of them. I had an email chain the other week with Re:RE; 20 times!

It would be sad indeed. I've been reading here without a break since the first installment, and in fact even recommended it once as some of the funniest reading on the internet to a dinner neighbor who turned out to be a quite famous Brit as it happened.

What many here know but not everybody obviously, is that in a parallel universe the thread continues, with many of the vanished posters on this thread from days and years gone by. The problem seems to be that any attempt here to direct people to the other location is met with summary banning.

Hopefully, those who enjoyed the contributions of some of the more colorful members here will find a way to join the new thread. A bit of artifice has been employed by some individuals while leading the way to the new digs, but I am told even "private" messages have been intercepted and censored.

Hello, I think its morning but hard to tell as its dark and foggy.
No rain though which is a good thing.
Hopefully the river level will drop over the day before we get tomorrow's
forecast deluge.

An ad hoc trip into Derby today as Mrs HF is having her regular eye health
check up for contact lenses.
| may just do a surprise quality assessment of the local beer while she does that.
More pork needed for bacon production as well.
